Excellent, Well-Crafted! Jan 09, 2012
By Scott An excellent price for such a well-crafted piece of equipment. A previous reviewer noted that while it isn't quite up to commercial grade glute-ham machines it's pretty close -- is 100% correct. The only differences that I could find between the HYP-156 and a commercial model is that the commercial model uses a heavier gage of steel/aluminum in the frame and that the foot rests are vinyl covered. Put some black duct tape on the foot rests and you'll be fine. This piece of equipment is excellent for frequent home use. It is sturdy, adjusts well, and is sturdy. I highly recommend it!
The assembly instructions were very clear and yes --I know this is hard to believe - but all the parts were there: nuts, washers, bolts, everything! When assembling, I recommend getting the basic frame together first and then tighten everything down. The tolerances are well engineered and don't leave much wiggle room if you're a bit out of alignment.
Again - an excellent well-made, quality piece of exercise equipment!!

By benchit500 "Machine is cheaply made cosmetically but gauge of the steal is fairly decent. The pad is barely stapled on to the flimsy particle board and it's very narrow for anyone who has a bigger body they may want to consider another option due to the fact its hard to stabilize because of its narrow pad surface. It was however shipped promptly and with all parts."
One of the few machines that actually delivers... May 12, 2012
By Patrick If you want to increase your dead lift, build your core, and have some abs, look no further than this device. The GHD is no joke, and committing to incorporate this will pay dividends.
My only issue with this particular device, is that the metal is a little thin, but seems to be holding up. I wish there was one more hole drilled closer to the pad...but that's an easy fix for a DIYer.
Overall, for the price, this is an awesome piece to add to your equipment. The biggest advantage to this, is the strengthening of the lower back. As someone with chronic back pain, this machine has strengthened my posterior chain to where I don't suffer from it anymore.

I purchased this to add to my crossfit gym at home. Easy to put together. Decent quality, I don't think it will last as long as I want it to with the high fitness level of Crossfit but I am glad I purchased, for the price compared to professional costs it's a good deal.

Great for Garage Use! Apr 08, 2011
By Historyg After long hours of searching online, I decided to go with this Yukon GHD for my garage CrossFit gym. I am currently a Level 1 and understand the importance of this machine, but my budget is low as I am just starting off, and every dollar counts. I could not afford a 600 dollar sorniex GHD which is available at the gym that I train at when I am not in the garage, and is made of very good quality. This Yukon GHD will get the job done, it is sturdy and made well, the welds are complete and the pieces seem solid. I expect it to hold up to the 8 clients i have until i can afford a better one. Yukon does have a customer service department that will send pieces that brake, but I hope i won't have to call them for awhile.
If your on a budget and don't expect to have 100 clients slamming this thing down a day go with this, if you are opening a box, try to stay away from this though it could be made to last if you reniforce it a little.
