I admit I was skeptical about this item to begin with. However, we did lots of research for months. There were all sorts of testimonials and news reports about itand other hair lasers working, so in spite of my better judgement, we decided to try it. The cost is outrageous, but if you look into laser treatments at salons they can run a couple hundred dollars each plus the drive to where ever it might be located. The manufacturer also said it was guaranteed, try it for 12 weeks and you'd get results. So here's our experience. First, we ordered it and it took over 2 weeks to arrive, because it wasn't shipped for almost 2 weeks. Second, it arrived in a dented up brown cardboard box w/no interior box to contain the product. It was just stuck in there, no padding, no packaging. There was no instruction book, just a 7x8 cardstock advertisement w/vague directions. Third, the item itself is a cheap Chinese plastic hair dryer with a printed "hair laser" label put over the hairdryer insignia. There is a slide control that say high, off & some unknown symbol. There is no high, it's just on and off, and the other symbol means nothing. The item itself is very lightweight & flimsy. You have to put a weight on the base to keep it from falling over when the hood is extended. It doesn't look quite like the photo, the controls and base are different. The neck that the hood is atached to is adjusted by pressing against the outer piece of plastic at the base and letting the edge rest on a raised line on the neck. This doesn't last very long and many times it will just slip down to the last notch because it's too heavy to stay on the flimsy raised line, which can give you quite a jolt when it hits you on the head. Fourth, it does nothing that we can see. Well, I take that back, my husband sees nothing and I've seen more hair loss. Our machine arrived on 11/28 and was at once put in use. We have used it every other day as the directions indicate. It has now been 3 months, no improvement at all. This was an incredible waste of money, but having invested this much money, we keep hoping. If anything ever happens, I will report back. I'm not holding my breath.

off I want to say the company offers excellent customer service. When I first received the item I had a few questions and the company was informative on all of my questions regarding laser therapy. Like the customer who wrote the previous reveiw, I did suffer some additional hair loss when I first started using the product however after much research and in speaking with the company, this happens to almost anyone who first uses any sort of laser therapy because the laser is stimulating the hair to grow much faster and any weak hairs that were eventually going to fall out come out more rapidly. If one were to continue on with treatment beyond this stage, that is when one would see results! I have been using this machine for over 7 months and I can say my hair loss has stopped and I am regrowing new hairs on both my crown and receeding hair line. It did not happen overnight but in time I began to see results...even my hair dresser comments on the new hair growth and the overall texture of my hair. Its more fuller and thicker in addition to growing back in areas that were previously balding. The product is nothing fancy however when you consider the cost of salon treatments at double the price of one of these units and you have to continue on with treatments to maintain results, or monthy topical treatments that are not as stong,...this is a bargain. The lasers will last over 5000 hours and when you factor in how much time you actually need to use the unit, this machine will last you over 20 years. For me, I am completely satisfied and have since recommended the product to other friends who have also seen improvements in their hair loss but you have to be patient. You will probably notice your hair loss more before it gets better but this is a good sign that you still have active hair follicles.
