Kettlebells can be very expensive, so the idea of getting a few for the price of one was appealing. After receiving the product I used it for about three weeks. Aside from being noisy as the plates clank together, it was fine. Then the handle started to get loose. I thought to myself, okay no problem, I'll just tighten it back up. Took off the plates to look at the screws and saw where they must have skimped on the cost of the production. The top is a plastic plate which the handle screws into. The screws are at a nearly impossible angle to tighten. I finally found a way to angle in a bit from a ratchet set, and the screws stripped -- they too are cheap. I returned the product at once. I'll be damned if the handle is going to come off this thing mid-swing, especially after paying $200. Look for Kettlebells USA online and get the real deal. You can still get two or three kettlebells for the price of this one, and they don't take up THAT much room. Nice try Weider, but you gotta make it silent, sturdy, and easy to fix in order for this to be remotely worth it.

I'm here on Amazon looking for an additional regular 40lb kettlebell and I saw this concoction listed. I normally don't write reviews but I couldn't let this one go by. This was the first "Kettlebell" that I purchased )directly from Weider). Being new to kettlebells, I wasn't sure what weight I should start with so I gave this "kettlebell" a try. Here are the facts after using this thing for about 3 months.
1. This thing will crush your forearms if you try any other exercise than what is done on the workout DVD. No Turkish get ups, no snatches, no cleans unless you want bruised wrists.
2. Most of the exercises in the DVD can be done with one dumbell.
3. You're really not going to be changing the weight a lot especially when performing exercises from the workout DVD.
4. One false move and it's good bye Weider SpaceSaver 40-Pound Adjustable Kettle Bell. The only kettlebell type exercise this thing is good for is the kettlebell swing. One day, I was doing some swings alternating from side to side. I slipped up and the apparatus fell on its handle. SMASH. The very next day I went out and bought a regular kettlebell.
Summary. This crap is being marketed as a space saving kettlebell because it is assumed that without it, you will have to purchase 8 kettlebells. The lame excercises on the workout DVD are easy and do not represent the capabilities of a true kettlebell. If you're determined to spend $200, get a 10lb, 25lb and 40lb real kettlebells. You'll be able to complete many more exercises.

Well I was really excited when I got my Powerbell a couple weeks ago. The kettlebell workouts definitely get the heart rate up and give you a total body workout. Unfortunately, the Weider PowerBell has an odd shape to it compared to normal kettlebells. Making certain moves, like the snatch and the rack, a little difficult. Notice I said 'difficult' and not impossible...it just takes a little tweaking in the technique/form.
But the biggest flaw, is how fragile it is. Considering the types of moves you do with these things, like the mid-air hand switch shown on the included DVD, you would expect them to be pretty tough. Well, just this morning, doing a the mid-air hand switch I missed...and it smashed to the ground right on the handle and broke into about 10 pieces. Luckily, I got it from Walmart, and I got a full refund.
Other than that, I really do like the clever design, I would just recommend to anyone that does purchase it to avoid the mid-air hand switches and flips that you may see in some videos. Stick with the basic moves and it should give you a pretty good workout. JUST DON'T DROP IT!

So I just got the Weider 40 lb adjustable kettle bell. I was stoked to have a lot of weight options, unfortunately, the handle is only screwed onto the main body, (and not very well at that) so when doing hip thrusts or other fast momentum exercises the handle moved opposite to the weight making the exercise useless and putting the kettle bell at risk of failure where the handle met the body. On the other hand, if you are looking for a good versatile weight for presses, get ups and things of that sort, this could very well be your piece of equipment.

This is a great idea saves you time, space and money. With kettle bells there are some exercises that you can do with more weight and some you need less weight because of how hard the exercise is. With this you can add more weight to it the stronger you get and don't have to run to the sporting good store to get another kettle bell before doing the workout.
I think it is sturdy enough to do your workouts considering you don't drop it. I try not to drop any of my exercise equipment anyway whether they are dumbbells or kettle bells. Great product for the functionality.
But, like everyone else has stated in the previous reviews the cylinder shape of this product is where it takes a downside. If you have forearms made of granite and you do the snatch exercise the shape may not bother you. But if not, the edge will debilitate you. Especially when you go up in weight and do the snatch. Even other exercises where the kettle bell rests on your forearm which is basically all of them, hurts.
I found a product on Amazon.com called No Fear wrist guards No Fear Fitness Forearm Guard Pair which work great! These kept me from returning this item. They are thickly padded with plastic inserts to absorb the shock of that edge.
Until somebody makes a 40 lb. adjustable kettle bell in a round shape this will have to do for now.
