Great Safe way to dispose of Used needles Nov 15, 2009

This is a great way to dispose of your used needles. Clipping off the needle from the rest of the unit makes it easy to dispose of hundreds of needles safely.Much less space is taken up by the used needles. The only drawback I find is that the unit breaks after a couple of hundred uses.

The voyager diabetic needle disposal unit is perfect in more than one ways. Not only does it provide a "must have" convenient option for storage but also provides a secured disposal option that assures the user a safe environment. It is sized "just right" because it is not intrusive and does not require a great deal of space for storage, whether at home or on the road.

I think it is a "must have" convenience and safety option.

Voyager Diabetic Needle Disposal Unit Had one before and it works fine, expect the new one to do as well. Convenient size for travel or stay at home and can handle lancets, and various needles (not pen needles).

I use this product all of the time. It is environmentally better because it clips the needle and the rest of the syringe can be recycled. It is more difficult to dispose of the needle, but health places sometimes have
"Sharps Disposal" stations.
To save a lot of money, I take off the removable foot and then slice the bottom of the unit. Then I tape the foot back in place. That way the unit can be emptied and constantly be reused. Ultimately the clipping blade will break (sometime much sooner) and the unit is finished. You can help the blade by pushing the needle down far enough.
