Creme del le crem of heating pads Feb 08, 2010
By Mary McMullen I have been a big user of heating pads for over 45 years...wow I can't believe it's that long. The Thermotech King pad is by far the best I've used. It comes with 4 heat settings, ranging from 113 to 166f and a timer for up to 60 minutes. The heat on the lowest setting is intense and gets the job done on muscle aches. I've not used the setting above 113. The only improvement I would suggest is to make the timer longer up to 2 hours. But at least a signal sounds when it shuts down and it powers and heats up very quickly.

Best heating pad I've ever used. Mar 15, 2009
By H. M. McHugh I have used different brands of heating pads and none of them come close to the quality of this one. I have used it for several weeks for back and neck pain and the heat is much more penetrating and longer lasting. It's much heavier than commercial heating pads and that weight keeps it in place. The higher temps are only good for short intense bursts. If you lay on it as opposed to laying it on you then the heat is trapped and will sometimes be too hot even at the lowest setting. If putting heat on your area of pain causes more pain than it may be possible that heat is not the needed therapy. This is a medical grade heating pad meant for therapeutic usage. I am hoping it lasts a long time!

I have used this heating pad for a few weeks now for a lower back (SI joint) problem. Since I've started using it my pain has reduced drastically! I even took it traveling with me on vacation and it helped so much from all the walking and sight seeing we did. The large size makes it east to use it where you need it and sooth the surrounding muscles as well. I have been severely burned by falling asleep on a heating pad and I never have to worry about that again because it automatically shuts itself off. I also like the variable heat settings! I already know what I'm buying family members for Christmas.
