Nice microwavable heating pad - no cords! Oct 07, 2008
By Smartee I purchased 2 of these pads. Previously had the one with Thera-beads. It lasted a number of years but was white and felt-like fabric would snag on things. Chose this one because it looked beige in the picture. It is in fact WHITE as well. The Thermalon pads have a different fabric, knit on the bottom and mesh on the top. I use these pads almost nightly for endometriosis pain and discomfort. I love that you just pop them in the microwave and you're done. One warning though, with my previous pad (thera-beads) - DO NOT EVER MICROWAVE them with a cover on. I was using an old cotton pillowcase over the pad and the pillowcase started smoldering, then burned a hole in the pad and the beads spilled everywhere. NO more pad. This pad is very durable, just remember to microwave unfolded if possible or change positioning in microwave during heating. This pad has no smell whereas my previous thera-beads one did - could be due to the pillowcase I was using when microwaving it. Yes, I'd recommend it. All microwave times vary and with mine it takes 2 min 20 seconds to heat. Heat lasts around 30 minutes. Nice flexible pad, easy to mold onto any part of the body. Microwave on a dinner plate instead of on microwave bottom or carousel dish as recommended in instructions.

Best and easiest moist hot pack Mar 12, 2006
By C. Layfield This is the best moist hot pack I've used. It is easy to prepare, odorless and comfortable. The best point is that it is washable! And the price is very affordable.

Great microwave heat pad Jun 27, 2009
By KT I've used these for several years and just recently purchased additonal pads for travel and gifts. They always work great to provide 15 to 20 minutes of penetrating warmth. I caution to not overheat as I have experienced a minor burn when placed on an area of skin that I have reduced sensation due to an injury.

convenient Oct 16, 2010
By ash I recieved it two days ago. first, let me tell you that 30 minutes claim is not valid. I microwaved the pad for the time suggested and got around 10-12 minutes of therapeutic heat. The beads draws moisture from air, so i don't know effective it would be in dry season. I haven't, but it can also be used for cold therapy. This type of product is convenient (no mess). Overall quality of material look good and there is one year warranty.

Thermalon Microwave Activated Heat Pad May 20, 2009
By Kiki Cornell
"Caregiver"
This Thermalon Microwave Activated Heat Pad is lightweight, a perfect size and shape to provide moist heat to the abdomen, back, shoulder or hip. It can be folded for easy storage in a night stand, and offers comfort when in bed, in the car, or lounging around the house. A member of our household is a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy and radiation and he couldn't get along without this Thermalon pad. Highly recommended!
