Cheap. Effective. Nov 01, 2011
By weekend warrior This is a simple product- strips of latex of varying resistances. I've personally used the green to rehab my rotator cuff, but with a little creativity, you can exercise just about any muscle group with this stuff. I'd suggest getting the yellow and red, and then seeing where you're at- the green is getting up there, and the blue is pretty darn tough to do.
Get more than one color if you can afford it, because sooner or later, the color you are using will get too easy for you and you'll want to move up to a stronger band to keep getting stronger. Also recommend Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow if you suffer from tennis elbow.

Love resistance bands. Dec 27, 2011

Use these bands with the proper accesories and they make a wonderful exercise tool. With the handle accesories you can adjust the resistance by adjusting their length and how many bands you attach.

Therapy Oct 27, 2007
By Nancy M. Williams TheraBands have a long history of use in recovery from various joint surgeries or pinched nerves, and are especially useful in slowing osteoporosis. They avoid the danger of sudden shifting weight that can occur with hand held weights. The tension is steady and adjustable through use of color coded strenghts. They are perfect for home use and travel because they take up so little space and they won't hold you up in the security check-in line!

Too weak! Aug 24, 2011
By Aririn The weakest band ripped on the first day of using it. The others seem more durable, though. Two and a half stars.

Multipurpose sports gear Jul 24, 2011
By paganesque My hunched deskbound shoulders lately have been going into spasm. Quickly I needed light exercise to reduce pain and restore motion. This 3-set of Therabands is an economical way to get some light weight mmoves into the daily routine--even 5 minutes will help. The bands are also helpful for strapping an icepack to my shoulder afterwards! They take up hardly any space and are easy to get out and use.
I also purchased a book, "Strength Band Training," by Page and Ellenbecker, to figure out which moves I needed. It doesn't have to be rocket science or a monumental effort to do your body good. Home gym is the best. Do a little every day.
