Best $30 I've spent!!! Jan 25, 2007

I bought this product several years ago when I walked into a Relax the Back store in Boston, MA. I've been using it since and I have sold probably half a dozen by recommending it to friends. Here are some fine points about the Backnobber 2.
It's very easy to use and the "s" shape of the design allows you to put pressure on the right spot to work on. The booklet that comes with it shows you several variations on use. I've found that by using it while lying down you can use the bed/floor as a fulcrum and your bodies own weight to apply correct amount of pressure. I've use this while sitting or standing. The product also comes apart easily into two pieces that fit nicely into a backpack. I take it between the office and home. One trick I've discovered is to shake it while you are applying pressure or rotate it so that the point of pressure moves, this is great when working with spots near your shoulder blades for the back the shaking and fulcrum work really well. The product is made of some sort of high impact plastic it is very hard and rugged and has lasted traveling in luggage and such for several years now. I highly recommend this product for everyone and would make a perfect gift as well. Try it and you'll agree that it is the best $30 you've spent in a long time!

A Life Saver Nov 12, 2005

I don't know what I would do without my Backnobber, it allows me to work the painful trigger points I get in back and neck. After just a few minutes, I feel like a new person. I take my backnobber with me when I have long trips in the car. It simply love it!

Excellent product! Jan 26, 2007
By F. Tarabay I've been wanting something that could accomplish this for some time. The two different sized "S" curves allow you to reach and apply pressure/massage all those sore spots in your back.

That relief you have been seeking! Sep 15, 2009
By Malina Rome

I was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition called Myofascial Pain Syndrome this past year. Because of a surgery I had a year ago I am unable to take any type of pain medications outside of Tylenol or narcotics. Physicial therapy was not working for my pain condition at all...in fact the therapist stopped seeing me because I was making no improvement. Trigger point therapy at the massage parlor was providing some occassional relief but at $[...] a pop not only was it expensive and not covered by insurance but if I did not do it every day then it wasn't as effective as I would like. Anyone who has this condition knows how painful it can be and how difficult it is to treat. Feeling desperate and hopeless I started searching what others with MPS were doing and this is when I stumbled upon the Backnobber II.
This thing is fantastic! Everyone I have ever let use it has enjoyed it...one woman described it as "the best thing to ever happen to me in my life." Since using it I go to the massage parlor a lot less for the trigger therapy treatments. My migraines have all but disappeared and my medication usage has gone down.
This item is very lightweight and requires almost no strength to provide the pressure/leverage needed for relief which is important because a lot of times I haven't the strength. All you do is place one of the small knobs on your sore muscle or where you have a trigger point or knot and pull down or forward. The tightness you feel just releases and then the pain goes away with it. It is very easy to use and best of all to use without any assistance in nearly any position, ie. lying down, sitting up, standing. For my shoulder and neck area this is amazing but I can also do so many other areas of the body. There isn't a spot on my back that the Backnobber II does not reach.
The product comes with a small book full of ideas of how to use the item and on various areas of the body. I was getting spasms in the bottom of my foot in the arch and I just disconnected the two pieces and took the small S and applied the pressure to my foot. Such pleasure! I can use the small end in the tissues of my neck unlike some similar products without fear of damage to the neck and this is a big part of what has taken my migraines away. Also, the book showed me that sometimes you can get knots in your armpits which can cause pain in other areas of the body...guess what, I tried it and surely I did have knots in my armpits and it helped with pain in my arms and back.
I would recommend this to anyone who has small aches and pains to someone with an extremely painful & chronic condition like mine. If it were not for this item I am not sure what I would do. My primary care physician, physical therapist nor my spine specialist knew of this item. I made them all try it too and now everyone I know is looking to buy one or recommend them to someone else. I am going to get one for my 70 year old mother-in-law as well as a woman I know suffering from breast cancer because even though they are both weak they will be able to operate this item. You won't truly know till you buy it but at less than the cost of a massage what have you to lose, especially since Amazon will let you return the item if you are not satisfied.

A great massage tool - highly reccomended Dec 02, 2006
By Myrtle Dahlink I have a Backnobber II and I love it! We have a few other massage tools around the house, but most of them require someone else to massage you with it. This one is the best because you use it on your own back or neck. You know where you're tense and you dictate the pressure. The S design is fantastic because you don't have to use much arm strength to get a lot of pressure onto your back, so you can give yourself a lot of massage with not a lot of effort.
I highly reccommend this product, I bought one several years ago and I still use it all the time.
