Excellent value! Jul 23, 2010

"road warrior of the nth degree"
We purchased this unit after benefiting from similar treatment at our alternative wellness provider. This lamp works WONDERFULLY (when used properly!) for muscle aches and helps to improve circulation (though your mileage may vary, in my case it has helped reduce fibrous scarring such as after a serious wound lasting for a long duration finally closed up... and helped the skin return to a more normal appearance.)
All infrared lamps must be used with caution as they can cause burning so seek assistance from your health professional before using.

TDP Infarered Mineral Heat Feb 06, 2011
By C. Corbeil I have terrible neck pain due to a herniated disk. This lamp is amazing and really does help settle down the pain and stiffness. I love turning it on for an hour especially on cold nights. My cat loves it too!!!

TDP Mar 11, 2012
By DKC Nice lamp, I like the feature that all you have to do is detach the head to replace. Other ones you have to actually take the head apart (asbestos lines the coil)sot this seems a lot easier.

Not a real heating lamp Apr 17, 2012
By Jeffrey D. Miller MD I am an MD who ordered this item to treat an eyelid inflammation, but it came with a warning--that had not been stated on the website page--to cover the eyes. When I tried to see if it would help muscle tightness, it also failed to produce noticeable heat at the recommended distance of use. The company states that it works without producing light, which is conceivable, but also insisted that it produces a deep tissue heating effect without producing noticeable heat on the skin surface, which does not make sense to me. I am not sure if this product works, but it seems like voodoo to me.
In addition, the seller was very unfriendly and argumentative, insisting on charging me a restocking fee even though I offered to return it at my expense and apply the purchase price to a MORE EXPENSIVE bulb-type heating lamp from the same seller. I have never had an interaction with a merchant who seemed more intent on proving that "the customer is always WRONG!" Fortunately, Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee saved the day; but I would never purchase from this seller (K S Choi) again.

Mineral Lamp Effective? Jan 24, 2011
By J. Rutledge A friend recommended the TDP (Mineral) lamp to help me recouperate from rotator cuff surgery. The lamp is well made and appears sturdy. It's easy to assemble and use with a timer cut-off switch. The real question is whether there is any benefit other than the heat feels good and the jury is still out on that.
