Ow, my aching jaw. Jul 29, 2010 I have to say first that the device does work. My snoring was less pronounced and I felt like I was getting better sleep. Having said that, my teeth and jaw ached for the next day each time I used the device. It works on a principle of moving your lower jaw forward to open your airway and thus eliminate the constriction that causes snoring. It does this by placing pressure on your teeth to move your jaw to the right position and it places a lot of pressure once your jaw muscles relax during sleep. I stopped using the device after about three weeks as it was not worth the pain, and I began to worry that my teeth were being forced into new positions in their sockets and even though this device is not that expensive, braces are. Hope this helps.

Great Results Jul 27, 2010 My loud snoring had become a huge problem for my wife. With this product, the snoring completely disappeared, immediately. It took a few days to get used to wearing it, but no problem after that.

This One Is A Winner! Jul 23, 2010 My dear wife is a mouth breather, frequently has allergies, has some jaw problems so she is the snorer in our family. Interestingly the problem really got bad after her second pregnancy. She can sound like a roomful of snoring lumberjacks sometimes and my sleep and health have suffered as well as hers. She tried sleep studies, apnea evaluations, sprays, homeopathic remedies, sleeping propped upright,(resulting in backaches), side sleep pillows, earplugs for me, and other mouth devices. Finally after ten years of lying awake next to her I said "We're going back to square one and start over". I took over and started with evaluating her patterns. First she quit drinking a glass of wine before bed,(I thought it could be swelling her mucus membranes), then I had her take cheap OTC Claritin generic twice a day for 4 weeks, we got new pillows and a good HEPA air filter for our bedroom. Things got better! Then I evaled the mouth devices she was trying some of which were from Dr's Rx and cost over $100. She said they were uncomfortable and left her jaw sore. They were as a rule too big for her and didn't fit right. I could see the problem. OK I said we are going to try what I used in football that is fitted and protects a player's teeth. I researched what was out there and remembered my Pop's advice... go simple and cheap first if logic dictates the fix would work as well as something more complicated and expensive. With that in mind I found and purchased this product. Tips: When you boil then fit the mouthpiece just hold the bottom slightly forward with someone else watching to see if it is right. Just holding the lower jaw the slightest bit forward may work, and be comfortable, plus you can refit this device if needed. Be careful not to bite through the plastic. You will be mouth breathing through the hole, but tell yourself to and practice nose breathing every day and night. Also practice sleeping on your side with enough pillows to keep your head level. It took my wife about 5 days to get used to this mouthpiece. Halleluia! It works. And we are both sleeping better! I paid $26 with free shipping on Amazon. I recommend you try the Snore-Ex mouthpiece. zzzzzzz Cab.
Instructions Please Jul 22, 2010 Can somebody type out the instructions on how to mold this?
I accidently threw mine out.
Much appreciated!
Thanks!

Trust me, your spouse will love it, too Jul 21, 2010 I've been using the Snore-Ex Mouth Piece device for some time now. I am a terrible snorer and found it upsetting that whenever I could get the chance to snuggle up to my hubby, he would immediately wake me up with a shrug and say I'm snoring so loud right into his ear. I've always woke up after an 8 hour fight with sleep and still felt unrested. My eyes would appear like a permanent red strain and signs of lines under the eyes were beginning to form.
The first night I used Snore-Ex, after customizing the mold to fit and fixate my under-bite, I felt like I was preparing to play football. Yes, there was some drooling that occurred but that did not last throughout the night for me. When I woke up, I was amazed to feel so anew and rested. Plus, I only slept for 7 hours, not my normal 8 hours. I asked my husband if it really worked. All he could say is that he doesn't remember even waking up from an amplified snoring in his ear and enjoyed the warm snuggling all through the night.
After the second night, and a few moments of drooling sensation, I again woke up and felt rejuvenated. When I had taken the mouth piece out of my mouth, I felt some slight pain in my lower front teeth, which went away a few minutes after I had awaken and started my day. I have an average under-bite and so i know this mouth piece is doing its job of keeping my lower jaw and tongue forward and not sinking back restricting air flow.
Following the instructions to mold the mouth piece to your mouth is fool proof. To clean it is simple: toothpaste and toothbrush. The mouth piece is SOFT and VERY COMFORTABLE. Drooling may initially begin once mouth piece is being used, but eventually goes away (at least for me, it did).
Since I bought and used this product, I slept without using the mouth-piece on one night. I will never do that again unless I'm begging to feel crappy for the whole day (and that is truly not an understatement).
