Pleasantly surprised Jun 30, 2006
By Frank I bought this bike to rehab from knee surgery. At this price point I was willing to take a chance and buy it sight unseen. It works as advertised and I've incorporated it into my daily exercise routine.
The bike is quiet when in use; I've used wind trainers before that sound like cyclones compared to this bike. I don't have to crank the TV to hear it while pedaling. The tensioner has 8 levels and provides a good spectrum of wheel resistance. The electronics controlling the 6 exercise programs, timer, calories burned, distance traveled, and pulse all work well.
The only minor negatives:
1. The setup instructions were clear but hooking up the tensioner was unnecessarily difficult. Took 20 minutes and a lot of sweat.
2. The stabilizer bars (front and back) are just a tad short, so there is a slight side-to-side movement as you pedal. Nothing serious.
3. As you exercise, the LCD readout cycles through all the stats...would be nice to be able to select what data you monitor.
Overall I'm happy with the purchase, esp at this price, and can recommend it others.

Good for the price Aug 10, 2006
By D. Carp I received this bike as a birthday gift and am please overall with it. One irritant I found was that some of the hardware was already installed on the bike, so I spent 10 minutes looking for screws, nuts, and washers that were already on the bike. Just be aware that when you purchase this, even though there is a separate package of hardware that comes with the bike, the majority of the hardware is already installed so don't assume that you got shorted some pieces.
The tension is a little difficult to set up and I plan on looking more into it. I did what the instructions told me to, however there doesn't seem to be an "easy" setting so far on this bike. The tension setting range is from 1 - 8, with 1 being the easiest, but I don't notice any differences between the ranges.
I know the other person that reviewed this bike didn't like that it cycled through the information while riding, but I actually prefer that it does. I found it nice to be able to just look at the screen and know how many miles I had ridden, what my speed was, etc..without having to interrupt my workout to push any buttons.

Nice for the price Nov 08, 2006
By Skunk Tabby I've only had this for a couple of days, but I'm pretty happy with it. The set-up wasn't too hard except for connecting the tension cable which took quite a bit of fiddling. The bike sits pretty high, and since I'm short it's a bit awkward to get on, but the seat is comfortable and the machine is very quiet.
For the other reviewer with the complaint about cycling through the stats on the display. You can easily set the display to show only one stat: just read the manual.
Update: I've had the bike for a couple of months now. I use it 4-5 days a week for about 30 mintues a day. It's holding up well and I'm still very happy with it.

Great Exercise Bike! Jan 09, 2007
By J. Cole I have had this bike for over 3 months and ride it about 5 to 6 days a week for 20 to 25 minutes each day. It is a Great Bike! It was easy to assemble (though I did have my husband doing most of it) and takes up very little space. I keep it close to the TV so that I can ride it while watching my favorite shows. It is very quiet. It has more features than what I use - I just want to know how long I'm riding, how fast, and how far. But I'm sure the extra features may appeal to others. I highly recommend this bike. It was very reasonably priced and was well worth the money.

Excellent Product May 06, 2007
By Deborah K. Anderson I am usng this bike as rehab after hip replacement surgery; it's very quiet & has adjustable resistance which is good for leg strengthening. I plan to continue using it as part of an overall fitness program.
My only complaint is the height of the seat; even at its lowest level, it is a "stretch" for a short woman like me(5 feet)to mount.
