Only one small cavity in 2 years!! Nov 17, 2007

I have been using the Spry Flouride with Xylitol Toothpaste for the past 2 years or so and I love it. The taste is very cool and light and does not sting my touge like some strong toothpastes do. My dentist recommended it to me and gave me a trial tube and then I never stopped. My only problem with the Spry Toothpaste is trying to find it in town. The one store that carried it that I know of (Sunflower Market) discontinued it 2 months ago to make way for new items. Bummer! But it is always here on Amazon, and usually a lot cheaper than in the store.
My dental hygenist thinks this is miracal maker. She says my teeth are remarkably better that 3 years ago. Cleanings only take about 10 minutes now rather than 45 to 55 minutes before. That makes me happy. I would and do recommend this to everyone. Try it, you'll like it!!

Xylitol - the Revolution in Oral Hygiene Care Sep 01, 2008

Xylitol is a natural sugar-alcohol (from birch trees), that is sweet tasting, but is not metaboliszed by bacteria for food. When bacteria feed on sugars in the mouth, they ingest them and produce acids, which dissolve the enamel and produce cavities. What is unique about Xylitol is that when bacteria ingest it, it does not provide any nourishment and the bacteria actually starve to death! Thus, it helps rid the mouth of disease-producing bacteria! Brush 3-4 times a day to keep those bacteria dying.
I also recommend the use of Xylitol Gum (2-3 pieces a day between brushings) to keep killing harmful bacteria Spry Cinnamon Xylitol Chewing Gum 100 Count, Trident Cinnamon Flavor Chewing Gum with Xylitol 18/ 5-stick Paks Sugarless Gum
Use the revolutionary products with Xylitol and your oral health will definitely improve!

By Donald A. Thompson I was shocked to find PARABENS on the ingredient list! These chemicals have been implicated as potential carcinogens. While it's true that you'll ingest very little over a lifetime of brushing, it still is unsettling that that stuff would be frequently in my mouth. Other toothpastes don't contain parabens.
As a soon to be dental hygienist, this product is wonderful! Aug 16, 2011
By Sally I am currently in school to become a dental hygienist. My professors have taught our class about the benefits of xylitol. The bacteria that cause cavities thrive on sugar. When they ingest sugar they produce acids that will over time result in cavities. Xylitol tricks the bacteria into thinking it's regular sugar, but when they ingest it they have no way of properly digesting it and as a result starve to death and die. This is partly why this toothpaste is so beneficial at protecting against cavities.
Another reason why this toothpaste is beneficial is due to fluoride. Fluoride, as is well known, helps to strengthen the enamel of our teeth against cavities as well. It's as if this toothpaste has double protection. It not only kills the bacteria that causes cavities, but it also strengthens our teeth at the same time.
I have gotten this for myself because I am naturally prone to cavities despite the fact that I brush twice a day, floss once a day, and use Listerine twice a day. Some people just happen to be genetically prone, so this is why I got this toothpaste for myself thanks to my professors at school for teaching us about it.
Overall, if you are prone to cavities, get this toothpaste.

By beverly morris this is the only toothpaste i could get my son to use (other that crest) to help prevent tooth decay. The real test will be at the dentist office in 6 months.
