Great for Workout Endurance May 15, 2009
By Jeff Kraus I had originally bought a 10-packet box of a workout energy drink mix to try, not really knowing much about what was in it. Well, it seemed to work -- every time I drank the stuff before working out, I could easily get an extra 30 minutes in before I had to stop. So I looked at the contents, and among other things it contained 2500mg L-Arginine. After finishing the box and doing some research on L-Arginine, I searched around for a cheaper alternative source (the drink mix was almost $3 per single packet). This is where I landed, and I bought one of these 2-packs to try out. Doing the math in my head, the amount equivalent to the drink mix is about 30-35 cents, or less if you sign up for the auto-ship!!
I now take 3000mg about 30 minutes before I start working out, and I can feel a significant difference. Recovery time is much faster -- no matter how hard I work, once I stop to take a break I feel like I'm ready to start again in no more than a minute or two. I'm also there a lot longer, as I said earlier.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is the tablet itself. Personally, I prefer the capsule style, like the Vitamin Shoppe capsules. I think I might stick with those from now on (plus, they're 1250mg each instead of 1000mg). But that's not to say that these aren't great too. It's just a matter of preference for me.

Great Deal!! Oct 21, 2011
By Judd This stuff really gets the job done. I used to waste a lot of money on expensive nitric oxide pre-workout supplements. Look at the label on almost any of them and you will see the main ingredient is L-Arginine. I am using this to give me a boost for p90x. Did not notice much change for the first couple weeks, but since then there has been a noticeable improvement in endurance and muscle tone. I take 5 pills a day with gatorade for 4 weeks and then take 2 weeks off (mayo clinic website recommends 6 grams per day for four weeks to enhance athletic performance). I also have problems with circulation in my hands and feet and these pills have helped improve that as well. I have not experienced any bad side effects. Great value for the price

Does the job Oct 15, 2010
By Eric Jacobson I bought this to get my blood pressure down. I was in the 140's to 150's systolically speaking, and now, with no lifestyle change besides adding this supplement, I'm usually at about 124 over 74. That's not amazing, but it's pretty good, and I don't have to take Diovan anymore.
I expect to keep using this product indefinitely. It's an inexpensive way to help insure against having a stroke, aneurysm, or renal failure. And, yes, it's a big pill, but I haven't had any problem getting it down.

promotes increased circulation among other attributes Nov 08, 2011
By Chandler A good vitamin for those who consume little or no meat or dairy as this is usually where you will find this essential amino acid. However, even those who do often don't get enough.
L Arginine: Rids the body of ammonia is necessary for the production of protein stimulates the release of insulin makes nitric oxide so it releases blood vessels
Those who take it for alternative benefits claim that L-arginine can benefit:
*colds *congestive heart failure *dementia *erectile dysfunction *high blood pressure *intermittent claudication *interstitial cystitis *male infertility *migraines *preeclampsia *sexual dysfunction in women
Some people also use L-arginine to boost the immune system, improve athletic performance, and shorten recovery time after surgery. L-arginine is also used for bodybuilding
I actually got it to use during strength training workouts as I'd heard that it helps your body in this regard and I wanted the improved circulation benefit. Although that's a little hard to guage, I do seem to have improved circulation and faster warm-up

Works, pills hurt my stomich. Dec 27, 2011
By Polishedimage. Purchased on Amazon for Work out endurance and ENERGY. The energy was very noticeable. Not a buzz but good old fashioned "I feel good, why dont I get something done" I'm told its 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off. In the last few days my wife has given nearly all my bottle away because she loved them so much she wanted her friends (who are all Moms) to at least try it. It really works immediately. The only problem with these pills are instead of a soft capsule they are large pills that hurt my stomach. I have found other brands that have capsules and I will try those next. The benefits make this pill worth taking. Also, a side affect is increased blood-flow. Not a bad thing. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Would be 5 stars for me if the capsules were soft and dissolved quicker. My workaround is dissolving 3 pills in a cup of hot water and drinking that. Not for everyone, tastes bad but it solves the stomach problem.
