Requires quick battery replacement Jul 05, 2010 I was a bit skeptical buying this product. I am an avid gym rat, and workout quite a bit. I assumed there was small risk with investing in a product that could potentially take out 2-3 hrs of my weekly workout (I spend roughly 20-30 min of just ab workout 4-6 times a week). Below are my comments:
1) Because I am in decent shape...I had to use the higher settings on the equipment to feel anything. And the preset time on there I think was roughly 20 minutes -- and I decided to go through 2 20 minute sessions of the higher-highest settings before I felt anything.
2) It was nice to be able to "workout" while relaxing and watching tv...
3) The battery life (might be because I used more juice and more time then the average person) seemed weak. I proably got 4-6 sessions in before the batteries went dead. The batteies aren't common sizes, so having them readliy available isnt common.
I would say that the product DOES do the job of working your ab area -- however, I feel that it is geared more towards those that dont already have an active lifestyle. Good for someone who is trying to jumpstart a workout program, or even for travel if you feel you cant get a decent workout in. MOST DEFINATLY WILL NOT give you a six pack by using this product alone -- and like I said, to even feel like I had a workout out the next day, I had to amp up the settings, and sit through two sessions. And due to that (Im assuming), the batteries wore out exceptionally quick. Below are the people I would reccomend usage too:
1)Those who want an extra "oomph" to their workout when not doing anything anyways (ie: watching tv, driving, etc)
2)Good to bring when traveling and wont be able to get too much time in while away -- perfect for sitting in a hotel/motel room while channel surfing
3)A good jumpstart to those looking to become more active
This is NOT a device that I would rely on ALONE to get in shape or for upkeep of keeping in shape. Be sure if this is something you are into, you keep a lot of batteries handy.
SlenderTone Really Works Apr 28, 2010 I purchase the SlenderTone and received it April 1st. I am on a mission to loose my "beer belly" so I use my slendertone in the car on the way to work and then at night before going to bed. I set the power on the maximum that I can take. I don't think it is the maximum the machine can go!
Since April 1st I have lost 10 pounds!!! The result is visible. I don't know how many inches of Fat I have lost, but I can tell that the machine is working.
I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. At least for me...it has worked great.

Bad product - bad customer service Feb 23, 2010 Quit working after 2 weeks. Called company. They promised a new main controller to replace defective one. Said I should have it in a few days. Now, 2 weeks later, no replacment. Called again. "last customer service rep forgot to push the send key to get it on its way. Call back in 48 hours". Get the idea....seems like a run around to me. If you buy one-Good Luck!

This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feb 13, 2010 I just bought this ab belt and though I have used it only 3 times I LOVE it, between using this belt, doing my sit-ups (I do 1500 to 2000 every other day)and riding my bicycle when the weather permits I will improve on my killer body so I will be bikini ready before the end of May and I am nearly 60.
My belt was shipped to me in a most timely manner, was as descibed, came in the original box with the instructions was packed well and arrived in excellent shape.....................THANK YOU

How to keep your belt working! Feb 13, 2010 My wife received this belt and loves it! I noticed a difference in her waist and I'm impressed she is really into this. She used it about 30 times and then suddenly it quit. Being an inventor, I decided to investigate how it works and how to fix it. After reading all the Amazon reviews and experimenting with the unit. I figured that the gel pads have water in them that in time evaporates. The sensors see the moisture and send a signal to the pad to operate correctly. I applied moisture to the pads and that did not work. So I folded paper towels in the kitchen, held then under the faucet and squeezed out the excess water and applied them to the existing rubber pads, as I wrapped it around the waist and the belt works fine! My wife couldn't believe it! She told me I'm getting lucky tonight, she is thrilled, so this fix was well worth it! So far the belt has been working for about an hour. Will keep all informed as to how long this works! BTW, after removing the paper towels, you will find the pads are very moist and the belt will continue to work. How long? The pads retain the moisture from the paper towels. Still experimenting and will follow up after more testing. Great product!
UPDATE: Its a month later and the belt is still working. We ordered 1 set of extra pads, but we haven't needed them yet. One of the paper towels stuck to the rubber pad, so next time we will use a material that won't stick. Either way the moisture is the trick to keeping the belt working....
