I am satisfied in the fact that I saved over a thousand dollars over the reformer I initially planned to purchase by buying this reformer and considering the price difference I didn't expect perfection. My two star demerit was only due to very bad quality control.
When I constructed it I found out that it would not move smoothly across the rails. The fault could be seen, because one of the rollers was assembled incorrectly, also I found that the band holder had one screw that was to small (probably stripped) to hold it on securely. So, to get it to move smoothly required a small pry bar, a pair of pliers and two socket wrenches a Phillips head screw driver and a trip to the Home Depot for larger screws. If I weren't reasonably comfortable with tools I would have returned it. I am sure that the majority of users aren't middle aged men, trying to rehab, or prevent injury, who happen to have a tool addiction. The average lone female or male user (neither of whom has a tool addiction) would have had to return the reformer immediately.
Who knows if it lasts, I might become proficient enough or wealthy enough to upgrade to the better model, but until then this will do.

I just recently purchased this item and couldn't be happier with it. I had knee surgery(I used to be a runner) and in PT my therapist had me perform various exercises to strengthen with a reformer. We were using the ones that cost around $2000 and since this one was easier on the pocketbook I gave it a try. I get a fantastic workout from this and the DVD and workout chart are really helpful. I can feel my knee getting even stronger and see my body leaning out. Definitely worth giving a try! Awesome workout and it's fun!
There aren't as many resistance levels as the other reformers but so far I don't feel I'm doing without to get a leaner build.

This is the worst reformer I have ever used. The rollers do not work properly and scrape the rest of the machine. I guess you get what you pay for... Nothing! In fact, my back has been in pain from using this and all other reformers I have used have always made me feel better. It's going in the trash. I hope no one tries to pick it up and take it home as they will end up hurting themselves. Last note: there are pieces that are not welded together properly and it still had plastic in places where it should have been removed before shipping. The manufacturer clearly does not care about a quality product.

This came damaged but the outside box was not. I got in touch with customer service and they replied back within a few hours, but it was not worth returning or even replacing the damaged parts that they wanted to send me so we fixed it up ourselves. The seat was torn and pushed in (we taped it). A metal piece was damaged and slightly rubs against the bar (couldn't do anything about that). The CD was cracked (in the process of getting a new one). But my biggest concern was that when I pulled the cords the unit closed up on me (the part that slides) and it does not lock in place (need to drill additional hole/holes). Discouraging. So I mostly use the foot bar end and push the board while kneeling - for upper body strength. The foot bar really needs some piping foam as it really hurts your hands. I probably will not buy anything like this again online because if it comes damaged because of the weight it is not worth the trouble of returning it, which I should have done. I gave it three stars because customer service answered quickly. Sorry now that I didn't get a better one...(cheap).

Works Perfect Amazing Value.....Proform Core Tech Pilates Reformer...With the high shipping cost it was still cheaper than Walmart and tax free! It took my husband 15-20 minutes to put together...It's Very Sturdy extremely well made. It's also Very Wide would hold the largest of people. Much bigger than I needed width wise. I have been seeing a Physical Therapist for my Low back this allows me to exercise without compromising my back! Very Very Happy a Great Investment!~
