They are as advertised Jan 18, 2009

I searched for these glasses after seeing something similar in the movie "Bucket List". I thought they would be a good idea because when I watch TV while laying in bed, I'm looking down towards my feet. My eyes are only opened slightly and I'm essentially squinting and this is contributing to my deteriorating vision. (I know, I know, I should stop watching TV in bed!) The glasses arrived timely and the quality is sufficient. The frames are made from heavy tortoise shell looking plastic and the glasses come in a thin protective vinyl case(about what you'd expect for the price). The prism lenses provide a clear sharp image. Well, I no longer have my eyes barely opened while watching TV and laying in bed. I can look straight up while wearing these glasses and see the TV clearly. My only wish is that the lenses were a little larger to provide a larger viewing area. Don't get me wrong, the viewing area serves its purpose, but I think it is the minimum acceptable. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good after you reshape them. Feb 08, 2009

At first these Prism Glasses gave me headaches, but after looking at them a little closer, I could see they arrived misaligned.
I used a hairdryer to heat the bridge of the glasses then bent them forward and upward to make the prisms square on the frame. They still were not quite right and after looking more carefully I could see that I needed to heat them again and twist the frame to get everything to align nearly perfect. No more headaches.
I lay in bed with these on top of my regular glasses and they work fine for watching TV. Reading a book (without my regular glasses) requires me to move the book up and down a little as the field of vision is just a little too small. But that's just slightly annoying.
They are heavily constructed and not fragile. The prisms are glass (not plastic) and do not scratch easily.
I am happy with this product even though I had to heat and reshape them.

Relax,sort of. Oct 15, 2009
By J. L. Pecora I agree with the other opinions. They do help my very bad neck problem while recoverng from multi level low back fusion. I wish that some provision were made to add 'cheaters' i.e. over the counter readers as I look like Redd Foxx trying to balance and get to fit 2-3 other glasses over/under the bed glasses so I can read, old age does not come alone. One of the prisms keeps falling out therefore I put some 'crazy glue' on it to keep it in place. This damaged the silvering rendering one prism almost useless. Time to order another pair as the are better the nothing.

Interesting idea. Oct 12, 2009
By William J. Lavin This will save your neck/upper back from any strain, if you ever watch TV from bed. You can lie flat in bed, and clearly see your television. The only problem is fitting the glasses over other glasses. They should offer a goggle-type option for those with prescrition glasses. I have to awkwardly wear them on top of my glasses to see in bed.
Otherwise, I'm quite happy.

These were purchased for a paralized patient, they work great, not too heavy, and allowed him to see the TV.
