Same as podiatrist's solution Mar 25, 2010
By G. Schaefer This product is identical to the "appliance" that I was given by my podiatrist (at a cost of $160 for the visit!). I ordered 2 of them so that I am able to wash & dry one while wearing the other. This product holds the toe in a normal position making it more comfortable to wear a shoe. You must be careful not to tighten the strap too much so you don't cut off circulation. I find that putting a foam toe sleeve on under the strap alleviates the pressure.

Toe Straightener works well! Jul 25, 2007
By K. E. Scott I have had extensive surgery on my left foot involving removal of a tumor and a bone graft in the 1st metatarsal bone above the big toe. As a result, my second toe does not lay properly...and the toe straightener keeps it properly aligned, plus does not allow the joint to callus from wearing a shoe. I initially bought two toe straighteners and am really glad that I did!

works for me Nov 08, 2010
By Linda I have a hammer toe and it causes a lot of pain when I walk. This product works better for me than anything I have used. I tried the gel crest and it helps but doesnt keep the pain down like this splint does. This cushions the ball of the foot and keeps my toe somewhat straight. The only problem with it is that it doesnt last very long. You will probably need to replace it every three or four weeks at least.

works! Aug 16, 2010
By Paula I have a hammer toe, which can be especially painful when wearing dress shoes. This works great to keep the bump in my toe down and lined up with the others. Sometimes my toe gets sore after wearing it for a while, though. I would still recommend it for hammer toes.

Best thing I've tried for my foot pain. May 22, 2010
By July 1955 I'm not sure what caused the pain in my foot initially, but after a couple of cortisone shots from the podiatrist I wasn't exactly in pain, but felt like I gum stuck to the bottom of my foot, though there was nothing there and I couldn't feel anything when I rubbed my foot. The doctor gave me pads to put in my shoe but they didn't help and sometimes even made it more uncomfortable. Then one day a tried on a pair of shoes that really brought my attention to the fact that my second toe wasn't lying flat. I got one of these toe straighteners and it has given me more comfort than anything else. I use one everyday now.
