Yes - They're Dried Sweet Potatoes Feb 11, 2010
By Scots-Irish Lass (terri) Ordered these on a whim when purchasing another Paw Naturaw product from Amazon. Lighter than air, these are dehydrated sweet potatoes shaved uber-thin with the skins.
My dog was ultra excited as I opened the bag and she snatched the offered chip out of my hand - then promptly dropped it when she realized it was a vegetable and not a piece of beef jerky! At my insistence, she reluctantly picked it up and gave it another go. I think the crunchy texture was what won her over in trying it out, and after a few crunches, it was gone! She now eats them happily when offered so we're both happy.
WAY too expensive for what it is - dehydrated sweet potatoes - and not much in the bag. I'd say if you put them together to create an actual whole spud it would constitute 2 medium potatoes - probably less. Hence the 3 stars.
I own a food dehydrator and will make my own from now on, but for someone who doesn't want to go through the hassle or doesn't have a dehydrator (and has money to throw around) these would be a great alternative to chemical laden dog snacks.
Not for serious training - good for light training Dec 09, 2009
By Keebler This treat was not considered a "high-value" treat by my puppy. I could not use it for serious training although for light training it was fine. A healthy snack for sure. I plan to buy more. Wish the price was more reasonable. Would buy it more often then.
