My dogs LOVE these Sep 19, 2010
By Deborah M. Slaughter
"City Girl gone Country"
I ordered these treats to give them a try. Both my Giant and mini Schnauzer love them. They are easy to break apart, so my giant gets a whole one and my mini gets half of one. I will definitely be buying more.

Excellent Quality Treat Sep 08, 2010
By PapillonLover Paw Naturaw is one of the healthiest dog food companies around, in my opinion. My dog absolutely loves this treat--I hate to even call it a "treat" because it is balanced nutrition in every bite. My dog prefers the bison over other flavors. I will definitely purchase again. Paw Naturaw's dehydrated raw dog food is excellent too.

Poor quality, misleading advertisement May 11, 2011
By pet person The write up for this product does not indicate the ingredients nor does the product live up to my expectations.
On the package they are listed as "crunchables" not jerky.
What it does not mention on Amazon is that the other ingredients of this product are:
Organic: pork, beef liver, (one of my dogs is allergic to beef and this was not mentioned in the write up!), beef kidney, spinach, broccoli, carrot, celery, apple, sweet potato, cranberry, cucumber, tricalcium phosphate, flax seed, safflower oil, sea salt, zinc, vit. E. copper, manganese, calcium, vit. D3.
True they are "crunchy" like a freeze dried cookie, not like a dog biscuit. They also smell like plastic and my most un-picky dog on earth spit them back out. Like the previous review I have gotten my dog (an 80lb Black Lab) to eat one, but yet again he ate a kitchen sponge with soap on it at one time too... I don't want to press the issue.
Didn't get my dogs too excited Apr 21, 2011
By Amanda This review is based on the beef variety.
My dogs will eat these, but it seems like they aren't too excited about the taste. When I gave them to my dogs for the first time, one of them actually dropped hers on the floor and started walking away. She is not a picky dog by any means, so I was surprised by her reaction. She'll usually quickly gobble up anything I give her. It wasn't until I called her back and encouraged her to try it again that she actually ate it. After convincing her to try it that first time, she now eats these whenever I give them to her, although usually a little hesitantly. My other dog eats them, but doesn't seem too excited to get them. They both get more excited about plain baby carrots than they do about these treats. I appreciate how healthy these treats are, but I don't know if my dogs find them tasty enough for me to buy them again, especially at this price.
Also, I'm not sure if maybe the treats have changed since the pictures were added to Amazon, but the picture makes the jerky look like relatively firm sticks that are all around the same size. The bags I got were full of crumbly random pieces of all different shapes and sizes. I don't really have a particular problem with this, but maybe it's worth mentioning. I added a picture showing the contents of one 3-ounce bag, to give an idea of the appearance of the treats, and to show the amount of treats in one bag.

better than most treats Apr 11, 2010
By Desert Rat I don't think these treats quite live up to the hype on the package. Also, I judge the quality of the treat partially on how much they make our dog foam at the edges of his mouth when he runs around. My guess is, the more foam, the more salt or other nasties in the treat. These are definitely good treats but I don't think they are worth the premium price tag. Our dog likes Trader Joe's freeze dried liver treats better.
