I'm an Oral B user of many years, have always bought replacement brushes at the local drugstore, and was completely satisfied. I purchased this 3-pack of replacement heads and had one come apart in my mouth after a few weeks of normal use. The metal pin at the end of the head came completely out and the rotating head came off. Both head and metal pin were loose in my mouth, an obvious swallowing hazard. The packaging displayed here does not look like my packaging, which is very plain saying only "Oral B Precision Clean", and the brush just feels cheap.
I cannot prove this brush to be a counterfeit yet, but I am contacting Oral B.
Update: Contact Oral B by telephone. Item I received is counterfeit and Oral B requested I return it to them. If your item's packaging does not look identical to the customer supplied images, I would not use the replacement head.

Have owned a Braun Oral-B Toothbrush Ultra Power Handle w/Timer for about five years. Got it because my dentist said the oscillating action this model has was good to not only brush the teeth, but that it would scrub away plaque from between teeth and along gum lines better than my old 'up-and-down' electric or regular toothbrushes.
And of course he repeated that old saying, "Two minutes, twice a day." His dental hygienist also advised replacing the brushes every three months, just like with regular toothbrush. That's great advice, except what can you do if you can't find replacement brush refills?
I didn't think that going to a grocery or drug store would results in such a hassle about finding replacement brushes, and I won't bore you with the details. But the brushes are indeed available right here, and if you check the prices carefully you'll find that there are some bargains to be had, and in almost all cases they're cheaper than your local store.
They're called 'Precision Clean' (the new name for 'Flexisoft') and should be marked 'EB17'. You can get them here as well:

These refills are compatible with most Oral-B electric toothbrushes except Vitality Sonic, Sonic Complete or CrossAction. If you have an Oral-B electric toothbrush that is noted to take Precision Clean, FlexiSoft, ExtraSoft, EB17, or PowerPolisher brush heads, then these will work.
As noted earlier, keep your eye open on the prices, as they do seem to vary quite a bit. Some are sold by vendors, but shipping may be free and marked 'Fulfilled by Amazon'. You can also search here for 'eb17', 'precision clean', or 'flexisoft' and you should be able to find them.
If you're shopping locally, be aware that there are counterfeit Oral-B heads on the market, and they may be hard to spot, though the Oral-B logo seems to wipe off on some of them. They're usually marked "Flexisoft" and have German and/or Chinese writing on them, and can break in two days to two weeks. The bogus brushes also present a health risk, especially for young children, as some have had the oscillating head break off or the brush part disintegrate. Enough said.
Speaking of brush heads, when you replace your Oral-B brush, don't just throw it out. Keep it and use it for effortlessly cleaning or polishing small items such as jewelry.

Knock-offs or Defective Aug 15, 2010

After only one week (or less) of use, product becomes lose, head wobbles, very noisy, pinches tongue, gums and inside of cheeks. I don't know if these are simply a bad batch from Oral-B or knock-offs. Waste of money!

I had read other reviews about this product purchased from the seller "Potential Dynamix" in which people complained about the product quality. The first brush head I used had a very loose head, which I assumed was just a single product defect. Then, the second brush head literally came apart as I was using it. I contacted Procter and Gamble and they asked me to mail the brush heads in for replacement. They just contacted me and informed me that the product was a counterfeit. I could not tell at all, as the packaging and product itself was not visibly any different from the actual brush head, other than it completely came apart after use. Again, stay away from this product as sold by "Potential Dynamix". (Note: "Potential Dynamix" has since changed their name to "DAB Nutrition")

after a week of using these heads they became wobbly, pinching my lips and my cheeks, noisy (rattling sound), and eventally broke in my mouth. I asked my husband about it and he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary...then his brush head did THE SAME EXACT THING MINE DID!!!!! They feel cheaply made compared to the ones I usually buy in the drug stores so i'm not sure if these are counterfeit or seconds from the manufacturer but either way they should not be sold on here and the seller should be banned for selling junk and shoddy products.....DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER
