Blood Pressure Monitor Jan 14, 2008
By White Shoe Navy Being a nurse, i've used all sorts of makes and models to monitor blood pressure, including the self application type. Most are flawed by poor unstable connectors, tubes too short to reach between patient and device, clumsy to wrap, the air supply knob is either too tight or too loose, or electrical cords too short to be practical, etc. I was hesitant, skeptical and reluctant to pay this much. (I don't mind so much if it just works!) Now that the OMRON DLX Automatic Comfort Cuff has been in use for almost a month, it has proven it's worth! All the cords/connections are ample and stable. The reading is accurate and easy to obtain, even one-handed. It stays put when placed on the upper arm above the elbow, is comfortable and easy to complete the velcro closure. The memory allows comparison over a significant period of time and is a handy feature. I haven't tried to use it on battery power, but it gets my thumbs up!

Consumer Report says #1 instrument Jan 07, 2008
By David Swett I am on verge on medicine needs for high blood pressure and wanted my own machine to keep an eye on daily fluctuations. Consumer Report says this is a #1 machine and it is very, very convenient and works so well. You'll be happy with this purchase.

A convenient at-home BP monitor Mar 23, 2008
By J. P. Koruth Likes it overall. Wish it was a little smaller and more portable - looking at the picture, didn't expect it to be of this size. But gives pretty accurate readings - same as what my doctor reads manually. Very easy-to-use - no help needed from others. Stores a lot of old readings and calculates averages. Reads heartbeat rate also. Can be used with batteries or ac adaptor - but if no battery put in, the date/time will not be correct.

The Omron is easy to use, and highly accurate Mar 17, 2008
By B. Norton I purchased the Omron HEM-711 after turning 40. I have a family history that made me interested in monitoring my blood pressure, and I want a unit that had received high ratings for accuracy.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the Omron is to set up and use. I especially like the memory feature showing the blood pressure reading, pulse, and the time of day of the reading.
Taking my blood pressure is a very simple process. I simply slide on the cuff, lining the arrow up with my upper arm, and push the blue button. The machine takes care of the rest. The large numbers are easy to read. I am able to see my blood pressure, as well as my heart rate.
Now, I have a week's worth of readings to help me be better informed before my next physical.
(December 2009 update) I have now owned my Omron for almost 2 years, and am still impressed with the continued accuracy and ease of use! This was an excellent purchase.

Omron HEM-711 DLX Dec 22, 2007
By LF replaced an older Omron HEM704c, works great as per product description. I would have liked to hear the heart rate tone beeping like my old unit did. This unit is silent.
