I've used it for two months now and still love it. Nov 07, 2008
By V. Bowman I LOVE this product. It's kind of expensive, but here's what it actually is: it's almost like a makeup primer, sunscreen and illuminator in one. There's just enough foundation in it so that after you apply, you only need to add concealer in problem spots. It leaves you with this "sheen" that no one would be able to pinpoint, no sparkles or anything ridiculous, and people have asked me if I'm pregnant twice, because they say I'm glowing. And the sunscreen is great because it's important, but MORE IMPORTANT is the fact that it has NOT made me break out. And EVERYTHING makes me break out. I have an oily t-zone, and normal/dry everywhere else. I don't have to use a moisurizer at all anymore, and I haven't had to increase my t-zone powdering either. If that helps. I highly recommend this product. Also, one pump covers your entire face, and there's always a bit left over, which I use on my decollete area - just an idea.

Looking better Feb 18, 2010
I'm not the type to use foundation or make-up. Ordinarily you will just as likely find dirt on my face from daily gardening chores and a belief that fresh air and exercise are the best cosmetics for a 59-year old woman. But last year after a month of swine flu, complications, and slow recovery, I looked in mirror and saw my own grandmother. As a farmer she liked dirt on her face too, but she also swore by Olay.
These days the decision on what Olay product use is really confusing. There are all sorts of products and product lines. I visited the Olay site and used their interactive consultation. The Definity line came up for me. Once I got the product suggestions, I used price comparison sites. Amazon almost always has the best price, and in the case of Olay Definity the prices are even less than the local Wal Mart. I also retrieved a rebate offer from the Olay web site and used Amazon's Subscribe and Save service to save 15% more even though I wasn't sure I would re-order again. I put the re-orders on hold until I gave the stuff a test run.
At first I was appalled at myself for having spent so much on such a questionable endeavor. But about three weeks later I got together with a good friend who I hadn't seen for several months. "What did you do to your face?" she cried. "You look so much better!" I'm also using the Definity nightly moisturizer, illuminating eye cream at night as well.
Being a skeptic though, since my friend is enthusiastically positive always, I still wasn't sure. It took the reaction another younger shy friend who helps with a bit of cleaning to ask what that was that I'm using on my face. I told her, moaning about it being expensive. "Expensive? Did you spend $200???" she asked. I blinked. "No less than $20." She rolled her eyes and waved her hand.
The worst age spots have faded into the background, the puffiness from chronic allergies and dark circles around eyes are not shining like I have two black eyes, and the wrinkles are less craggy. I look someone took a photo program and smoothed the graininess and blemishes out of my face. I still look like my own grandmother but at age 59 she was described as a youngish-looking grandmother. At this point I'm ready to reactivate my subscribe and save subscription.
The only reason I did not give a 5 star to this product is that it may not work for everyone. The Definity products do cause a slight tingling on my face so test for allergic reaction before using.

I love the shade! Jul 22, 2009
By Kristi G., mom of Sage I like the shade of this. I wear fair. Normally in most makeups I wear ivory or whatever the ligthest shade is. Yes, I'm pretty much a paleface. This works well for me though - and it does NOT turn orangy!
I have tried other tinted moisturizers and they would turn sorta orangy on me - this one holds the color as a neutral ivory and I appreciate that!
My only complaint is that - like the back says - you do NOT want to get this in your eyes. It can really burn. Yes, I did it. :) I got slaphappy putting it on and got it in my eye. I teared up for a good 30 minutes, so be careful with that. Normally that is not a problem for me with anything.
As far as sunscreen goes, it works great for me. I've been out in the sun every day gardening since I got it, and I've not had any hint of change from the sun in my freckle prone nose or skin color, and certainly no burn.
I find it pairs very nicely with mineral powder foundation.

Great Product! Jul 15, 2009
By RN4DM Olay Definity Color Recapture is an AWESOME product!!! I use it as a foundation, and it provides just the right amount of coverage, not too heavy. Doesn't feel greasy, and hasn't made me break out... and I have super sensitive skin that always breaks out. Saves time because there is the coverage and sun screen in one product! My skin has also been super soft since using this product... just an added benefit I suppose! It seems a little pricy, but you only need one (MAYBE one and a half) pumps of the product at a time, so it will last a while.
