brestfeeding miracle Jun 21, 2009
By Eva
"Mommy of 3"
I always had a tremendous amount of breastmilk with my first two children, and had no problems supplying them with enough until I was ready to wean. I also started out with a great milk supply this time, however my third little guy started sleeping through the night at three weeks of age.He would sleep from 8 to 10 hour stretches, which was great for me, but apparently my milk decreased to dramatically, even the milk that was produced during his waking hours was not enough for him, as he would cry, needing more. Everyone told me to just start supplementing with formula, but I was just not ready, so just make sure that you have some frozen breastmilk saved for future use, like for when you want to wean, or for emergencies, this way you will not need to offer him formula. My baby is now 3 months old, I tried drinking milkmaid tea three times a day with no results. I used blessed thistle in conjunction with fenugreek three times a day, and in less than 3 days my milk supply increased noticeably. I tried pumping and breastfeding every 1-2 hours and waking in the night to pump and feed, but my milk did not increase as much or as quickly as when I added these two supplements to the regimen. I am now able to satisfy my little one and store extra milk for the future. I am so excited!!!!!

Good but watch out.... Jun 19, 2011
By New Mom To Be I began using this product to increase my breastmilk supply when I went back to work. It actually worked by itself with me without the Fenugreek. The only issues I had was this was it cleans you out a little bit too much. When I got it in the mail it read "Digestive Tonic" on the label and I disregarded it. Bad move. It wasn't so bad in the beginning because it helped me get over my constipation that I still suffered from due to pregnancy, but after about a month it gave me loose bowels. I know TMI but I wished someone would have warned me about that aspect before I began using it. But besides that it's a great product that actually works.

I used this herbal supplement to increase my milk supply when breastfeeding my first and second son. It helped me during a difficult and stressful time. Worked great combined with fenugreek.

Worked for me Aug 23, 2010
By K. Reynolds I never write reviews, but had such success with this product I had to let other bf mothers know. I started using blessed thistle (2 caps 3 x per day) along with fenugreek (3 caps 3 x per day) and 3 cups of mothers milk tea per day. It definitely increased my milk supply. I went from using around 8 oz of formula a day to exclusive breastfeeding in a couple of days. It took a day or two for me to really notice the increase (and I did have some leaking for a day). I feel very full in the mornings and can pump much more than I could with my other child. And I am now able to freeze an extra 4 oz. per day to freeze. I used fenugreek on it's own with my first child and noticed no difference whatsoever. This seems to be the right combo. Since the formula was giving my baby lots of tummy troubles and for other reasons too we were really glad this worked!
