These NYX shadow pencils are so creamy and blendable. The texture is amazing. I took off one star because when they are new they are a bit chalky so you have to use them on your hand for the first few swipes. After that they spread like butter.
You can use these as shadows, liners, and some colors are safe to use on the lips too. I like to use them as shadow bases. Pigments and powder shadows stick to these really well. It's a nice and inexpensive alternative to lid primers.

So I got this awhile ago and never really used it. I was going somewhere special and I used this over my UD eye primer, this then my shadow. It looked gorgeous! As a dark skinned African American, it gave my shadow the pop it needed that I don't get when I use primer. I have the Gold, Coffee Bean and Milk. For the record, the Milk doesn't look good on my skin color. It just makes my shadow look chalky.

i recieved these in great packaging and i currently use them when i apply eyeshadow and pigments...overall, this is a good product to make colors stand out even more on your face.....my favorite would have to be bronze because it just makes any color with a gold undertone stand out more....for a more subtle look i would apply slate...i would recommend these to a friend...it would be nice to have different lots with different colors too...

Great alternative to MAC paint pots Mar 09, 2011

Best when de-potted as they are impossible to sharpen. These don't fit in any of my jumbo cosmetic sharpeners!!(-1 star).These work great when applied lightly with a finger,not a brush.A brush will leave too much product on and certainly DO NOT just use the pencil on your eye.If anything, place a bit in the center of your lash line and blend it out from there. If you glob it on, it WILL smudge and crease even with the best primer. Great for doing looks with glitter or heavy powder products as it works like a "glue". Highly recommend the black one for smokey eye looks!
TO DEPOT(need jars,blow dryer and pliers):
1.) Find empty sample size jars to fill (I got a bunch from Coastal Scents)
2.) Find somewhere to anchor the jars or tape double sided tape to the bottom and place on a surface.
3.)Remove cap and remove end cap(with pliers)
4.)Hold tip down by groove where end cap used to be with pliers
5.)Set blow dryer to hottest setting and blow directly down to melt the product, holding the pencil where the product can melt into the jars
6.)After all of the product is out, look down the center of it to make sure it's empty.
7.)Wipe away excess with a towel and let cool.Then, recap.

Hi, so first things first. I got this within 5 days of ordering. During the holiday season. I opened up the package and it was positively covered in bubble wrap. I had been worrying that it'd be broken on arrival but the two pencils were fine.
I have been wanting these for a long time but as I have extremely sensitive skin I was worried about buying them. But I took a chance and got both Black Bean and Milk. They are amazing! When used with my brand new 120 palette they make the colors pop and last a long time.
The only down side I can find is that if you use this on the water line or if your eyes are very watery, you need to set it with an eyeshadow otherwise it leaks like crazy and you end up looking like a depressed raccoon.
