I am a general dentist and a parent of my first child, an 8 month old boy. When he sprouted teeth a bit early at 5 months, I was surprised and tried to practice what I preached to my patients about their children's teeth. Easier said than done! Then I read about these wipes in Parents magazine and immediately ordered some. As a dentist and most importantly a parent, I would highly recommend tooth tissues. Getting yourself and your child into the habit of cleaning before bedtime is very important, even at this stage. The xylitol is proven to help fight decay, and I recommend sugar free gum with this ingredient to my adult patients. Now that I'm using these wipes, I also recommend tooth tissues for their children as well. Can't say enough great things, wish I would have thought of it myself!

I love these! I bought them for my toddler, but ended up just using them more MYSELF! I'm not sure what's in them, but they give your teeth a very "polished" feeling. Example - if you use them after lunch, your teeth still feel slilky smooth and clean all the way until bed time. No joke. I keep them in my bag for whenever I feel I need to brush but can't. Oh, and since they are not flavored (because they're supposed to be for babies) I like to put a splash of mouthwash in them.

I like these wipes, both for my child and myself. They have a neutral, pleasant slightly sweet flavor that anyone who has sampled glycerine would recognize. They are textured and durable - my child likes to chew on diaper wipes (!) so instead I give her one of these and she hasn't torn them yet, just chews on them and brushes her own teeth :)

Great Dental Care for an Infant Sep 30, 2008

I wanted to get my daughter used to dental care at an early age. I was concerned that she would not allow me to use these, but she loves them. I clean her mouth every night as part of our bedtime ritual, and she opens wide when she sees me with a wipe.

I loved the concept of these wipes, but they do not live up to my expectations. I had hoped they would taste sweet, like a mild toothpaste, but instead they smell like the same wipes I use to clean my baby's rear end. The taste is mild, but its very hard to get past the smell. My son hates them. Bummer!
