Good wrap for the price Jun 18, 2010
By Vince Neil If you want a shoulder ice pack that actually works (stays in place) without spending a lot of money, this is the wrap for you. The cross-strap is critical for keeping the ice pack in place - without it, the pack will drop down off your shoulder. Yes, it's pretty basic and not the most comfortable wrap (though I do lie in bed at night with it reading before going to sleep) but who needs to spend $80 on a shoulder wrap - unless you have a chronic condition?
As mentioned, the pack holder is not that big but my largest ice pack is only slightly larger. You might want to rotate two packs to get better coverage.
Daily icing is very important for rotator-cuff injuries and this is a good and inexpensive way to do that.
UPDATE: You can also use this wrap to ice your elbow tendons. I have tennis elbow (outer tendons) in one arm and golfer's elbow (inner tendons) in the other arm. I can use this wrap effectively for both areas! I also found that I can use my biggest cold pack with it. Bottom line...this wrap rocks!

keeps the heat pack in place, but it's pretty small Jan 26, 2010
By G. C. Rich I have more shoulder problems than I care to mention so I was very happy when I saw an inexpensive wrap designed specifically for the shoulder. I'm thrilled that the design keeps the hot/cold pack in place, but the pack (and pocket it fits into) are awfully small. Of only they had used an eight, ten or twelve inch pack, it would be fantastic. As it is though, it's better than struggling to keep a regular pack in place.

Awkard, but works Oct 07, 2011
By Nancy W Although this is awkard to get on, it does the job. It does seem to run a bit large for me, a small/medium sized woman, but still a bargin. It would work even better if I ever need it on a knee.

Hits the Spot Feb 05, 2012
By Jerry First, the quality construction of this hot/cold pack surpassed my expectations. It is built to last. Second, the fit is quite good. It holds the ice pack right on the shoulder without slipping. It can be adjusted to sit higher or lower on the shoulder, forward or back, depending on your needs. Strapping it on presents little trouble; you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly.
The ice pack can be microwaved for heat applications, but I have not tried this, so cannot comment on how well it works. When iced, the pack stays cold for a good long time and is pliable enough to conform to the shape of your shoulder.
It was well worth the money and I can in good conscience recommend this product to others. In fact, I am considering buying a second one to keep at the office.

Pain to use Jan 06, 2012
By Barbara L. Jennings
"Barbara"
I ordered this product based on some of the reviews I read and was looking forward to using it on my poor little tennis shoulder. For me it was a pain in the keester! So now my shoulder AND my keester hurt. I wanted to use the heating function. You have to remove the two gel packs and submerge them in water (What??) Any part that is not submerged blows up like a blowfish and looks like it is going to explode. I microwaved for the recommended two minutes. You now have dripping gel packs that have to be inserted into the wrap. I did this, put the wrap on and felt............nothing. It was pretty much room temperature. Back in the microwave for another two minutes......and still not very warm. An awful lot of hassle for extremely poor results. I packed this baby up and sent it right back. Now I use an old fashioned heating pad, drape it over my shoulder and sit back so the chair holds the pad to the back of my shoulder/arm . The only downside is that you can't wander around since you're tethered to an outlet.........but it forces you to relax while the heat is being applied.
Sorry Mr. Mueller...........not a good product for me.
