Well, this product has so little documentation that it makes you feel lost if you have any doubt. I expected to find something on the manufacturer website, but was disappointed.
Another grouse i have is, there are disproportionate number of accessories that come with the equipment. There are two disposable cups, two diluted solutions, four slides with chambers, four disposable pipettes and 100 cover glasses. Effectively, two solutions being bottleneck, you cannot carry more than two tests. That makes it real expensive for 80$ (plus shipping).

Bought this product after TTC for 6 months with no luck. We were able to see the sperm pretty clearly once we got it focused. It only took seconds to get it focused. I recommend zooming all the way in, then slowly zooming out. The only problem I have with this product is how to obtain sperm count. It comes with this "diluted solution" and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with that. The instructions are confusing. I wish that they just told you what normal will look like. Overall, worth the $80. It gave us hope b/c at least we know DH actually has sperm.

This is really a bad testing tool, I tried twice and spent an hour each time to see anything but the microscope doesn't focus at all. I even tried pepper powder and still only shows those square boxes...
I am going to call the customer service to complain against this stupid product...
never buy this product, its a waste and als stressful as i thought i don't have any sperms......

I purchased this product in June of 2011 and was very happy with it. Several other reviewers stated they had trouble focusing the microscope and had trouble understanding the instructions. Either the product has been upgraded since then or these reviewers are doing something wrong. This microscope came pre-focused (and was tagged with a sticker explaining so) and the sperm could be easily viewed immediately with no need to refocus. The light from the microscope was very bright and there was no need to go to a dark room as some other reviewers noted. The instructions seemed very straight forward and detailed enough to know exactly what to look for. It was somewhat difficult to count the total number of sperm within the grid to determine the estimated sperm count as the sperm would constantly swim in and out of the area. Overall the product was easy to use, one of the few that tests more than just the sperm count, and it's just plan cool to watch the little guys moving around. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good at-home sperm test.

My doctor reccommended using an "at home" product before paying the fee at the doctor's office. The kit was easy to use and really was accurate. We still did the test at the doctor and got the same results!
