THE VA CHARGES ME EIGHT DOLLARS FOR THE SAME PRODUCT. I HAD PICKED UP A BAD CASE OF JOCK ITCH AND COULDN'T SEEM TO GET RID OF IT. THIS IS WHAT THE VA GAVE ME. STILL AT EIGHT DOLLARS IT WAS HALF THE PRICE OF THE DRUG STORE AND STRONGER THEN THE 1.5% AVAILABLE. NOW I BUY TEN AT A TIME TO CUT THE SHIPPING COST AND KEEP SOME ON HAND. WORKS GREAT AND CLEARED UP THE INFECTION WITHIN A WEEK OR SO, WHERE THE 1.5% ONLY KEPT THE INFECTION FROM SPREADING.

I have found miconazole nitrate (2%)to be effective against a range of fungi, from athlete's foot to jock itch to an infected area on my face, near my mouth. I have ordered this item three times via Amazon (each time a different vendor) over a period of several years; each time I have received product that is as advertised and that has a far-future expiration date. For me, 2% miconazole nitrate seems to work much better than over-the-counter Tolnaftate (1%), Clotrimazole (1%), and Terbinafine HCL (1%).

much more effective than 1% product or other antifungal formulations that are similar but different active ingredient. I will order more of this when needed.

I'm using this product from this seller right now for what was an awful case of jock itch (keeping me up at night). I've tried many antifungals and this one seems to be working better than any of the others. If I remember I'll write back in a few weeks with an update. I used this in conjunction with hydrocortisone cream (topical steriod, used sparingly) for the first week and am now just using this. While there are still visible lesions, to be free from this longstanding itch is an indescribable relief.
Others recommended terbinafine but it hasn't worked for me and I've read that it readily absorbs into your body through your skin.
