I have to fight migraines and arthritis daily. Being a pharmacist, I have access to a lot of different gel pack and similar products. This one excels by a wide margin for the neck, sinuses and forehead. It also works very well for the knee. The gel pack gets cold enough to be effective, which is where many competitors fail. But it is not too stiff to wrap around the treatment area. The sleeve and velcro-like closure are comfortable and keep the pack in place. I wish I could buy replacement sleeves, because they usually wear out before the gel pack does. Both professionally and personally, I think this is absolutely the best product of its kind.

Excellent for migraine headaches, stiff neck, and sore shoulders. It's a plastic sleeve about the size and shape of my arm, filled with squishy gel that can be heated in a microwave oven or in hot water, or you can freeze it. It slips inside a washable outer case (sort of like a pillowslip) with Velcro on the ends, so you can wrap and fasten it snugly around your head, neck, jaw, leg, or whatever, or drape it across your shoulders. Ahhh, what a relief it is! I bought one of these at least five years ago and have used it many, many times, and it has held up admirably. It's the first thing I grab when I'm getting a migraine. Very highly recommended.

This is one reusable hot/cold compress that is truly everything the manufacturer claims it is! Medi-Temp makes an excellent compress that can be used hot or cold to relieve pain from twisted muscles, headaches or a stiff neck. It works very well when it's within the sleeve cover that comes with it.
I recently discovered another use for this compress. I am currently suffering from a nasty case of shingles; and wow, how it can hurt! There's an infected patch of shingles on my right cheek that usually aches when I am talking; I assume that the bone inside my cheek is rubbing up against the inside of my skin and that must be causing my pain. I was amazed at how much relief I got from that pain when I applied this as a cold compress.
In addition, the sleeve cover fits well over the actual compress and after I use it on any infected skin I just wash the infected skin with soap and water to cleanse it. No big deal at all.
If you do want to use this as a cold compress you can keep it in the freezer; my only cautionary note is that after you take it out of the freezer it does become a bit more difficult to bend the compress to fit securely around the area where you have pain. However, don't let this scare you away. If you just apply a little more pressure to the very cold compress you can still mold it to relieve pain.
I highly recommend this reusable hot and cold compress. This product is reusable and it can easily last years. It is also hypoallergenic and that's yet another plus!

I've tried many other types of cold wraps and this one stays cold longer than any of them. It's become my new favorite. It's very comfortable and "squishy" and easy to wrap around your head or neck. Highly recommend!

I bought one of these years ago from a medical supply store when I was going to be having sinus surgery. It worked wonders for me. I was able to use it when I had migraines and it helped tremendously. I always wished I had more than one. So when I had be scheduled to have a tonsillectomy I started the search for them. I purchased 2 more and don't regret it! I don't know what I would have done without them!
*They get super cold, almost frozen solid, but you are still able to squish and bend to the shape you need.
*They stay cold for a very long time.
*The sleeve is soft and easy to use, it velcrows together to stay on securely when you need it to.
*Great for head, neck, knee's, arm's.. anything you want to wrap it around and need it to stay secure!
I have nothing bad thing to say about these! I can not say how good they are hot, because I have never used them that way, but I am sure they are just as wonderful. (My husband even used my original in his lunch a few times. So the uses are only limited by you.)
Make sure to order more than one!
