These are magnetic, they grab any metal they get close to. Paperclips, jar lids, metal shelves. The gold doesn't stay on very long. Under that is silver, that doesn't last very long either. Under that is copper, which I have heard is supposed to be good for arthritis, as well as the magnets.
I'm not sure if they are helping or not, still have a lot of pain in joints in hands.
