Good for arthritis sufferers Sep 06, 2011

I purchased this cane from Amazon and it has been a real help to me as I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. The cane enables me to walk without putting too much pressure on my hand, which is usually inflamed and painfu. The pressure is actually put on the forearm. I would recommend this cane to anyone who suffer from arthritis and has painful hands. It is well made and adjustable.

I had used a cane before the cast came off, a spiffy hand-made wooden cane. But after the cast came off, my wrist just wasn't up to the task. This took a little getting used to, but it's saved me from many falls. Since I live in the desert southwest, I didn't want one of the crutches with the entire forearm encased in metal.

The only problem is that the hand rest foam cushion a) slides downward over time and has to be coaxed back up, and b) the cushioning material is degrading. I will probably have to replace the cane when i finally give up on the hand cushion. I will, though; it's a great cane.
