Caveat Emptor Feb 22, 2004
By Bruce Zak On the plus side, Dr. Andrew Weil writes that his choice of chelated form for magnesium supplements is Magnesium Glycinate. I searched around and most health food and nutrition outlets carry KAL and represent the manufacturer (Nutraceutical Corp., Park City, UT) as reputable. However, the label is misleading! You have to read the part that says "Serving Size 2 Tablets." In a jar of Magnesium Glycinate 400 containing 180 tablets, the tablet size is actually 200mg, so you are getting only 90 doses or "servings" of 400mg of magnesium, not 180 as you might think.

GREAT PRODUCT Aug 27, 2004
By Chicago Gal I have Fibromyalgia and this magnesium really helps me. I take it at bedtime and it helps me to sleep. It is also the only magnesium I can take that does not upset my stomach.

Treating PVCs Aug 25, 2009
By S. Basile I've been using KAL Magnesium GLycinate for 2 weeks now in an attempt to lessen my heart PVCs. I've had many many tests and am told the PVCs are benign by two cardiologists. My blood work also showed normal serum mag levels. I tried beta blockers and calcium channel blockers but symptoms increased. I decided to give mag a try. Since starting this I've had a dramatic decrease in my PVCs, and unexpected improvement in my mood (probably because the PVCs aren't torturing me). I forgot to take it today, and had the worst run of PVCs I've had since starting it. Took my dose and within 30 minutes they were gone. I hope it continues to work.

Kal's Magnesium Does Not Dissolve May 24, 2011
By BobK I have been taking a double dose of Kal's magnesium gylcinate for about a year and there was little change in my magnesium levels. I decided to test how well Kal's tablets dissolve in warm (~100 degrees) vinegar. After 30 minutes, the tablet was only partially dissolved. This is the same test that Dr. Oz suggested to determine how well a supplement dissolves. If the pill does not dissolve completely, he suggests looking for another brand. (See: [...] for details of the test). I have decided to look for another brand of magnesium.

Worked for me for my migraines! Dec 17, 2010
By Cdgo77 I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and have been searching for something to stop the cycle for years! I've been taking Magnesium Glycinate for a little over a month now and this has greatly helped me! I tried Magnesium Oxide which didn't help at all, and I tried a Magnesium blend by KAL that helped, but not as much as the glycinate. This doesn't upset my stomach at all and I like that I take it twice a day. It makes me feel like I'm getting an even dose throughout a 24 hour period.
If you have migraines I would highly recommend buying a bottle and giving it a try. There's no harm in it and what are you out beside $15. So many medications out there for migraine treatment cost so much more and do so much damage to our bodies. I say this is a win win!
