I read this review after ordering this unit from another site which has a great deal of information on this unit not present on this site, ib3health. The review here was very negative which alarmed me, so I went back to the site I had ordered the unit from and re-read the information. I feel the unit was unfairly maligned on this site with the previous reviewer. I noted that the reviewer had posted on this unit AND the exact same review on another similar unit, and I believe she just thought this was true of all units by this manufacturer, and may have actually owned the other (cheaper) unit, not this one.

Both reviews reveal that she fell asleep while using the unit and it damaged her bedding, but the other site says about this unit, "Do NOT leave it with filter cap face down" - which the last reviewer did, also, it is intended for short duration use not for hours of continuous operation, like the units which cost hundreds of dollars. I believe this unit works well for the application it was intended for - Quote, "Used for 15-20 minutes on target area, can be safely used for over 1 hour about an hour of use at a time." It is listed by U.S. FDA 510K and Health Canada and Quality certfied: ISO 13485 / GMP / CE MARK / MDD CERTIFIED, so it isn't like it is a cheap piece of junk, as the other reviewer may lead you to believe. It is a decent unit for the price. If you wanted hours of performance and intense measures inbuilt for continuous use concerning heating safety, there are many expensive units out there which do meet that criteria. For a good, reasonably priced unit which does a good job (within the hour or so use at a time), this is ideal.
Once I received the unit I used it and found it effective in relieving stiffness and pain, as advertised. Having used the unit within the time constraints given, I found it effective and would buy another unit without question and recommend it as a useful tool. When the unit does heat up (after about ten minutes of use), I move it away from touching my skin and it is remains comfortable to use and relieves any knots or stiffness it is directed at.

I bought this unit from a different site. I used it for about two weeks and it worked great at first. But like a prevous revier wrote the heat got too hot for the red plastic cover in the front and it melted the glue that held it together. If the top had not come a part in less than two weeks the unit would have been a great buy. But it did. If one is going to use this unit close to the skin, it needs a cover, if not too close to the skin, it does need a cover. Because of the cover, I give it a low rating.

I have had a bad ham string pull and this really seems to be working, I don't have the pain of walking like I use to. Would recommend this product.

I used to have an infrared massager and it worked great, so when I found this one I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, this one didn't work well as it didn't give off much heat. I'm not sure if this was a product defect but I returned it. Amazon was great and we had no problem with the return.

Honestly I'm very satisfied myself with this product. In less than 2 days I've seen dramatic positive results. You have to read carefully the instructions before using the unit, otherwise you can damage it. 100% recommended. Effective in every type of tissue (connective, epithelial, nerve and muscle), but specially on superficial aerolar connective tissue and muscle.
Remember that what far infrared waves do is to activate the metabolism of cells, vasodilatation and an increase of blood irrigation to the tissues. For the tissues to be healed and rejuvenated you need to have an appropriate nutrition..otherwhise, what are you offering to your own cells???
I would recommend to detox, improve your diet and drink plenty of water before using the unit to see faster results.
