Very tasty pot roast, but watch the sal Aug 02, 2009

Hormel Compleats Beef Pot Roast with Potatoes & Carrots is very tasty, has meat, potatoes, and carrots in good quantity and proportions. There's much more gravy tban necessary in this meal. There is an unreasonably large amount of salt in this meal. Don't have one of these in a day you'll be eating other salty food.
I quite like this meal, but I do worry at how salty it is.
For health reasons I probably won't buy this particular Hormel meal agsin.

I'm disabled - love this Jul 14, 2009
By imdebra Meat is lean, cooked till falling apart, and without nasty bits (of bone, gristle, or fat). Calories and grams of fat are very reasonable. Gravy tastes pleasantly onion-y, and there's chunks of potatoes and carrots.

Way Too Salty Jun 26, 2009
By M. Apsey Great idea, but dishing out 51% of the USRDA for sodium for one of these little things seems a bit much.
That said, I have never met a food quite as convenient or quick to fix. If you're hungry you'll find this product tasty.

Not my favorite Aug 20, 2009

I love Hormel Compleats. They're all very convenient, since I can stash them in a cabinet in my office and not worry about remembering to bring something from home, or about it getting stolen from the communal refrigerator.
Two thin slices of pot roast and a pile of overcooked carrots and potatoes in a salty beef gravy. Convenient, yes. Edible, yes. Delicious? Not really.
