The overall product is great, however I was surprised that I would be sent a set of weights that already had the vinyl covering splitting. Not the quality I had hoped for.

I use these weights at the physical therapy office. I have to say that I don't like the vinyl covering on the weights, as they become slippery when my hands sweat.

I prefer the neoprene coverings weights like these Heavyhands 1-2-3 Multi-Pac - Black which I have at home. I suppose in a physical therapy office it is easier to clean vinal weights, but I prefer not to use the vinyl covered weights at home.

I ordered a pair of these weights along with Weight Adjustable Rehab/Exercise Ankle Weights-single - 5 lb unit with 10 individual 1/2 lb weights and a copy of Miriam Nelson's book Strong Women Stay Young so I could keep doing the program exercises on my own after completing a 10-week course offered by my local hospital. I really like the 'feel' of the vinyl coating. They are a pleasure to use and I will definitely purchase others as I need them.
