Purchased 3 of these items based on the 900 rep evaluation of reliability and long life given by a previous purchaser. Sorry to say that the item is poorly constructed and is inferior to the Ab Slide. The first issue centers around the "plastic" handles that come loose and slide towards the end of the retainer bar. The retainer bar protruding from the main body is only 1.75" long and are not sturdy. Additionally, I have used the item for less than 30 days and the springs have failed. Now I have a nice piece of junk that will reside in the trash when I go off business travel. I continue to use the item with the broken springs, since this exercise is the center of my abdominal exercise.

I have always wanted to have a stomach worth showing and finally I have one!! I can't wait to sport my bikini this summer!! This product is great! It is kind of wierd at first, but you truly do feel it the next day (in a good way)! Just 5-10 minutes a day and I saw results within the first couple of weeks! DEFINITELY worth every penny!

I bought an Ab Roller device a few years before, and ended up giving it to my nephew ... who 'needed it' more than me. I was about to ask him to return it, when he told me how much he appreciated it. So, with a few clicks I was on Amazon.com buying a second Ab Roller for myself. The service from Amazon is great, next day delivery, and everything exactly as advertised. I snapped on the handles and immediately did a quick series of abdominal stretches. Nothing is easier, and the results are confirmed the next day when you grab the handles and roll forward!! Wow, how can something so simple work muscles so much in just a few short minutes? The old saying, "no pain, no gain" still holds true, but I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to change their abdominal condition and more. It's effective, durable, and priced right!

Glidemaster XL ab slide--how does it compare to others Jul 04, 2010

I do 900 repitions with the ab slide per week--Mon, Wed, Fri. 300/day. How does the Glidemaster hold up? Well, I like the action. It is in the middle on resistence compared to other brands I've tried. I've found that the resistance springs in all the ab slides I've tried break after time. The Glidemaster offers about 3 monthes of life over the others. But I have only been thru one to date. I now have 2 more and time will tell. I also bought 1 Powertek XL ab slide but have no info to compare it with, except it has the most resistance of any I have used.
