Part worked perfect. Took a minute to install & is running great. The only problem is that it is a little expensive. It should only be a $5 - $10 part.

In my rush to install my HE220A bypass humidifier i forgot to install the transformer and fried the supplied solenoid valve. An OEM valve was about $10 more. I ordered this one and was able to install it. The only difference is that the mounting bracket is on the opposite end. This meant the outlet feed didnt line up with the hole for the rubber water line and the fitting had to be angled slighty to keep the rubber tube from pinching closed, I also had to salvage the fittings from the old solenoid to match up with the tubing used on the HE220A.

Once I actually took the time to ensure everything was installed properly, the solenoid worked perfectly even in this application.

Got this to replace a solenoid that went out on my whole house humidifier.
Worked fine. Easily installed. Saved me not having to call a repairman and saved me several $$.

I bought this unit; installed it , and it didn't work. Turns out that i needed a 120v solenoid, not 24v. The units look identical. Make sure you check your specs on your original solenoid. I 'burned out' the 24v unit I had purchased. This is for a generalaire humidifier.
