We purchase this antacid exclusively now because it works the best and has a decent taste. Some antacids taste almost like candy but then they don't work. And others, like regular Gaviscon, work great but make me almost sick trying to chew them (the regular non-flavor one foams in your mouth). This is the happy medium. The cherry flavor is completely fine and these tablets work very quickly.

I use two of these at bedtime. The foaming action helps to seal acid in the stomach and keep it out of my esophagus. I think it's what helped me to get off Prilosec. The PPI drugs make me have chest pain and have long-term problems causing bone fractures in the elderly, so I have chosen not to eat close to bedtime, and use Gaviscon.

I was recently diagnosed with GERD. I never actually experienced the heartburn for awhile after the initial diagnosis but now have lately. Nausea was my primary complaint and nothing worked. I took Nauzene which really helps but is only temporary. The Gaviscon is nice for after meals and before bed. I take Zantac to actually help heal the erosion from the acid, the Gavicson to help keep the acid down, and the Nauzene for the nausea. It's actually a good combination. I just hope I don't have to take it for very long and my new, terribly bland, diet will help keep things at bay.

Hands down, the best antacid on the market. Had trouble finding the wild cherry flavor in stores ... got two bottles for a decent price. This stuff is amazing. Chew two tablets, follow with half a glass of water, and within 10 minutes you'll feel amazingly better. :-)

I was happy to find Gaviscon on Amazon.com because it really works well for me. It keeps heartburn from coming back, unlike many of the alternatives on the market. It doesn't have the best taste, but it does work well.
