The Air filter itself works like magic but the filters require changing almost once a month. I've even tried vacuuming them but it doesn't do much. At $20 bucks a pop for filters- definitely not worth the cost. Thumbs down 3M~ if I knew then what I know now....

These filters work hard and remove dust and hair out of the room
I have five cats and it removes all the cat hair and cat litter
from the room
I would recommend these filters to anyone

I notice that the air smells fresher in the room when I first install a new filter. I don't know how much these actually clean the air, but we like our air filter for the white noise effect it produces as much as anything. I do vacuum them to make them last longer. The light system that tells one when to install a new filter is useless, because it is based on how long the unit has been running. It tells you nothing about how clean or dirty the filter is.
