Efficient, design could be tweaked Jan 10, 2009

I purchased this for a friend. It does help improve the condition of the skin when used regularly. The device also runs from a plug and seems to be stronger than one that is chargeable. However, I have to say that the Fyola is a better design. I will give a comparison below.
1) With the Facemate, ultrasound and LED can be used in tandem. Galvanic and LED can be used in tandem. Ultrasound cannot be used in tandem with Galvanic. LED can be used alone, and ion cannot be used in tandem with any of the other 3 features. The Fyola does not have LED, but has Galvanic, ultrasound, and ion- all 3 can be used in tandem. A regimen with the Fyola is much less time consuming.
2)The Facemate has a large diameter electrode, which is nice. The problem is that the electrode surface is extremely close to the LED surface. This makes use of the device awkward around facial angles. The electrode on the Fyola is smaller in diameter, but has sufficient height to easily treat any part of the face.
The Fyola costs nearly twice as much, which could be a deterrent from purchasing. At the same time, it is half the cost of one laser treatment at a doctor- and does not include the discomfort or possibility of being burned. The company that manufactures the Fyola (www.Lotts.co.kr) also has come out with another version of the device- with LED.
Don't get me wrong, the overall result with the Facemate is just as good as with the Fyola. If the design were tweaked a little, I would prefer it over the Fyola as it plugs in to an outlet. Rechargeable batteries eventually cease taking a charge, and this is what Fyola uses.

Great Product but be aware of unstated policies from seller Oct 23, 2010

Over the past five years I have purchased three FaceMate 330s. Once you get used to using it, and there are blog sites that discuss what settings work best, it makes a great difference in plumping the skin with collagen and therefore greatly reducing small and deeper wrinkles. I have had problems though twice with electrical shorts where the unit would not stay on. The first time it happened there was a one year warranty and the company replaced the defective device. Not much more than a year later, that one also failed so I bought another. Within 8 months of very light use (I was traveling a lot and didn't take it with me) the device would turn itself off after just a few seconds. When I returned it I was curtly told by the owner there is now only a six month warranty (the manufacturer changed it from one year to six months but you won't find that on their website) and I must have "run it into the ground". Their website states 100% guarantee and nowhere states the warranty terms.
The FaceMate unit I had bought in January and returned for replacement was shipped back to me with customer service writing me "We reviewed your item and it is defective. It is outside of warranty." Still, the product may be worth it even if it does only last six months, it's just a shame that the retailer is so rude.

Great machine, but instructions a little hard to understand Jun 08, 2010
By N. Farzan Just bought this, was amazed how fast I received this from the seller!
Only used the machine twice, it wasn't easy to understand the instructions from the booklet, but the machine itself is great. My husband could feel the difference immediately after I used it, both of us were impressed.
I liked it while it worked. Apr 21, 2012

The FaceMate 330 was the first facial massager that I bought. With continuous use it short circuited. I had it for less than a year and it stopped working. I found the massager very useful for deep muscle massage, facial massage, and fat reduction. While it worked.
I believe it's because it ran on continuous massage cycles and that used a lot of power. Overtime it overheated and stopped working. I have another massager and that runs on 10 minute intervals and that hasn't overheated, yet. Overall, it could be a good product, if only they could resolve the overheating problem. Well, as ever, anything made in China is bound to be of bad quality. It felt like a waste because these massagers are expensive.
