Way better than I expected Feb 23, 2009
By B. Cantwell
"Mama C."
I actually bought this at Target today for $40. I figured it MIGHT work (I gave it a 50/50 chance) and that I was really taking a risk due to probably not being able to resell it due to the nature of the product. I am VERY pleased with the results. Within 5 minutes of using it any skin redness was gone and I've felt no pain whatsoever afterwards. Cheaper than the salon and not painful like over the counter self-waxing (ie: no skin ripped off...ouch!). The only pain is the actual plucking of the hair. Awesome! I never write reviews, but I am extremely pleased!

Terrible Jul 13, 2010
By DianaLopezWrites My first epilator was a white and blue Emjoi, and I loved it. It was perfect and left everything nice and smooth. This model... I gave it many chances, I tried both speeds, I pulled my skin tight. Nothing would make it work. It would tug at my hair, and not pull any of it out. I returned it, but had to pay shipping, so still lost money. Unfortunate. I don't know whether to trust the Emjoi brand anymore, that's how much brand trust this product ruined for me.

Not the same as my old one Aug 24, 2010
By M. Eggers I've had an emjoi epilator for years and I loved it. Recently the battery no longer would hold a charge so it was time to get a new one. I am not very pleased with this one at all. I can go over and over the hair and it just leaves it. Sure, it can claim to be painless if it's not pulling any hair out!!!! I will have to go shopping for either a different model or a completely different brand.

Did not work Jul 19, 2010
By Dan Latusick I have had other emjoi products and they worked fine. This one did not. A real waste of money.

I did not Emjoi it at all. Jun 09, 2011
By Ruth E Costa Pros: Removes hair (sort of)
Cons: Fell apart: The guard fell off during the third use and couldn't be put back on. It still worked without it so I kept using it. (I had thrown out the receipt or I would have returned it)
Underpowered: This unit has a rechargable battery or can work from outlet power. Supposedly. In reality if you want it to have the power to pull hairs out, you need to have it fully charged AND plugged in. It runs 10 minutes before you need to let it rest until another day.
Short lifespan: After 10-15 uses, the charging port got loose and flaky. Now, every time I plug it in I have spend 2-3 minutes pulling the cord out, putting it back in, shaking the device, etc until the charging light comes on.
Hurts: More than usual epilating or waxing because it pulls on the same hair repeatedly without removing it. Ouch.
