I have had several of these products, for shoulders, feet, etc. This
is the first one for the knee. For some reason, it does not get
cold like the other models. I do not know if it is defective or
merely that they do not have enough of the gel in this particular
design. The others work quite well. I have had to use the
foot one for the knee. The idea, however, is quite good and
"icing" the joint is certainly helpful.

I have been using gel/ice packs for years and I thought it would be great to have this gel cold pack that would wrap around my knee. I ice my knees each time after I run or work out my legs.
I found the gel pack does not get very cold as others I have used. The elastic straps are very flimsy and does not work well if you move around or stand up. The gel pack material is also very cheap and does not appear to be very durable.
I was looking for a standard gel hot/cold pack with heavy duty elastic straps to hold the pack in place if I needed to stand up and move around. This did not meet my needs.

This Knee Wrap really does the job of keeping down swelling. It wraps gently around the knee and stays cold for more than 20 minutes. I re cools quickly and is ready for the next time. The Large size easily wraps around a knee that measures 18 inches around.

Great fix for bad knees! Jun 05, 2009

I have a friend with 2 car accidents to her credit (that's her as the pedestrian not the driver), both times walking in a crosswalk, once in her teens, then in her 20s. Of course, multiple broken bones were the result both times. This is the 2nd knee gel pack I've gotten for her - she said they're the best relief for end-of-the-day pain after she's been on her feet that she's ever had! Seller was also very prompt, so we're all happy campers!

I have seen quite a few negitave reviews in reguards to this ice wrap. Most along the lines of "it doesn't get cold enough." In the past 10 years, I have been to 5 different physical therepists and have had 2 knee surgeries. All the time through rehab, it's been "insulated cold therepy." It just appears that most people want frezer burns on there legs to prove that it works. I have significant swelling after runs (and since being in the Army, I run almost every day) and this pack works better than the packs I have been given following multiple surgeries. And, when used with ample ammounts of Motrin, it has made both pain and swelling more managable following exercise or bad landings during parachuting. It is definately the best anit-inflamitory weapon in my arsonal!
