 looks nice but i had to send it back Mar 10, 2010
Nice looking scale but it would not power up. I actullay had to hit it pretty hard for the scale to power up. Its on its way back to the seller. Kind of disapointed because I read so many great reviews.

This is the best scale I've had, definitely worth it. The design looks very nice. It'll accommodate big feet, up to about 12.5 inches long (no more toes hanging off)! It's low to the ground and doesn't wobble when you're stepping on--great for people who are a little unsteady. The lighted display and big numbers are perfect for that early morning measure, and it measures down to a tenth of a pound. You can't change the weight by standing differently or shifting around, so it seems a lot more accurate than the regular dial scales. I can't think of anything I'd change.

I ordered and received my EatSmart scale about a week ago. Rather than pay an extra $10 or so for the "step on technology", I ordered the one everyone raved about. It required a heel tap to turn on. And I agree with everyone too, that the tap doesn't work very well, instructional video notwithstanding, and you need to give it a little toe lift. But never mind, aside from that it has worked very well, most impressive being the consistent identical readings. But it bugs me that the step-on technology version NOW costs the same as the one I bought a week ago. That's the 3 star explanation. Compared to the same scale with step on, it is a 3 star or worse. But...that's not your problem.

After going through many scales that had different readings, this has got to be the best one yet! Excellent readout, great platform for weighing, and very expensive look and feel, but not expensive on the wallet. I've tried many, this one out"weighs" them all by far!!!!!!

I was looking for a scale for my bathroom that was ACCURATE and easy to operate. This scale was perfect, and for a very reasonable price. The nice people at eatsmart emailed me to ask me for a review, so here's a short review of this product:
*PROS*
-stylish
-sturdy feel
-accurate (gives me the same reading weighing myself five times in a row!)
-easy to read display
-awesome price
*CONS*
-you should place your scale where you wont move it, because it can decalibrate itself
-the tapping with your foot system takes a bit getting used to
-no memory feature
Overall this is an excellent basic scale, and I would recommend it to anyone.
