Duro-Med, Aluminum, Adjustable Cane w/ Offset Handle, Wood Grain Oct 29, 2007
By J. E. Baral I was in need of a cane that didn't look like it came from the hospital store room. Since I'm stuck having to use a cane, I wanted some fun choices to pick from at home. I hunted Amazon and found 3 different canes that fit the bill. This is 1 of 3 canes I found and purchased from Amazon. I was so surprised and pleased that all 3 arrived at the same time, and were packaged separately. I purchased this item in the wood grain tone, and found it to be very nice, sturdy but yet light weight, and not a scratch on it. The only trouble I had was removing the sticky labels. After wrapping a hot, moist dish cloth around the labels and letting it soak until cool, the labels came off; but I had to repeat the process a couple more times to remove the sticker glue. If you're hunting for a 'designer' cane to replace those not so pretty hospital gray canes, then I would suggest trying one of these...with a number of colors to pick from. The 'wood grain' turned out to be more on the reddish side with a wood grain design. But all in all, a very nice cane and a great price. I keep this one in my car for long shopping days.

Just what was needed! Jan 13, 2010
By S. Lamarsky Mother-in-law needed a cane fast. Used my amazon prime got it NEXT day. She loves the purple flowers. Nice easy to grip handle. Not too heavy- just right for her as she is healing from a hip replacement! Could not have been better! There were some stickers- just use some goo gone. No big deal.

Great for those of us who have to use mobility aids before we turn 40! Jun 14, 2011

My original cane was a med supply store silver one. Refused to accept the CRPS would progress. Couldn't live with it so I wrapped a vintage Gucci scarf around the handle. When it became apparent that I would be using a cane every day, I gave in and invested in some prettier ones. Bought the Chrysanthemum cane first. It wouldn't extend and we sent it back. When the new one came it was perfect- easy to adjust. Then I ordered the spotted one which is my favorite, got a compliment while out at dinner with it. A woman close to my age (late 30's) said how lovely I looked and how nice it was to see me with a "sexy" cane, not letting illness ruin the sexy and pretty woman I seemed to be. Most sick people seem to give up on how they look because they don't know about these products that can be used as "fashionable accessories" (I say that tongue in cheek) But you gotta do the best with what you have to work with. Wish it came in some more younger patterns. I'd love another but the other patterns are just too old looking for my style. And for those that say the cane clicks every time they use it, just tighten up the ring on the base under the adjustable buttons and it won't make any noise at all. Very satisfied with price, quality and appearance. Wish I didn't need one for 30 more years but since I do, its nice to have pretty and fashionable options!

Inexpensive, stylish (?), and quite sturdy Sep 22, 2011
By Opinunated I have no idea how anyone can ship an adjustable, sturdy cane for $15.00. What a deal - a true 5 star product. A label on the cane says it is rated for 250 pounds. I suspect it could take considerably more weight than that! I'm not sure how this rating was determined but I pound on this cane daily, weigh about 170 pounds and it does not flex at all - not even the tiniest amount. After 3 months of usage I trust this cane absolutely. It is quite robust.
It is extremely light yet very tough.
Highly recommended!
As an added bonus you can choose whatever pattern you want. I choose a stupid and very obvious pattern for dramatic effect. Buy whatever color or pattern pleases you! When I was in the rehabilitation hospital I found a very bright pink cane that I used daily. There was no particular merit to this cane but it generated some comment which had a comedic effect.
