4This walker has changed my life!  Aug 10, 2007
By wren
I bought this walker because I have MS - I've used a cane for the past couple of years and only vanity kept me from buying a walker sooner. I'm so glad I finally got over myself and made the purchase! This walker has 8" wheels which is perfect for me as it's suitable for most kinds of outdoor terrain, yet is narrow enough that I can take it into stores & restaurants. I don't use it in the house as I don't need it, but bought it specifically so that I could get more exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

It has a curved back rest which is so much more comfortable than a straight one, and you can rest in comfort. The main reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five, is because the seat isn't padded. It's comfortable enough to rest on, but bothers my sciatica if I sit too long - a padded seat would have definitely earned this walker five stars! As is, I bought a yoga pad and cut it up to use as padding for the seat.

The basket is a nice bonus - Makes shopping a breeze. The walker folds flat enough that I can get it in the trunk of my car (just barely though). And while the seat is always down when you walk, the contour of the walker is such that it doesn't interfere with my stride. The brakes are essential and lock when you need to sit down and rest. It weighs almost 20 pounds, so someone who has trouble with lifting might have to take that into consideration.

For me this walker has been so liberating! I'm now free to go many places I never could before, without becoming fatigued as is a problem with MS. I also have trouble with dizziness, but with the added proprioception information the walker gives through having my hands on the handlebars, I find I'm not as dizzy now when I walk.

For anyone who is hesitating to buy a walker, who uses a cane but who really needs more support, I highly recommend this mobility aid! It's been a liberation!

5I got this for my son  Mar 20, 2007
By S. SANTANA
My son is under 30, with significant health/mobility issues. I got this for him, and he has been using it consistently with great feedback. It was very easy to put together; only a few moving parts that snapped into place or had big hand screws that didn't require any tools at all. It showed up within three days of order. Excellent material, and service.

5Fabulous!  May 06, 2010
By Marcia J. Wise "Be Wise"
We bought this for my father as a surprise, not knowing how he would respond or like it. He has osteo-arthritis it is very hard for him to get around but this Drive Medical D-Lite Rollator was a hit! He absolutely loves it. It navigates on a 'dime' with a 'nickle' left over. There is no place in his ranch home that limits him now. The large wheeles are fantastic, the brakes are ergonomically placed and designed and so easy for his weakening hands. We call it his 'Cadillac' because now he can get around so much easier. He even uses it at the dining room table as his chair. The height, the contour back-rest make it preferred seating for him. We also like the wire basket in the front rather than having one under the seat.

The only thing I'd like better is if he had 2 - one for outside and one for inside. It collapses so easily and though it is sturdy it isn't too heavy. I heartily recommend this Rollator. I studied at least a dozen different ones before making my choice and now after having it and seeing the quality and benefit I would choose this one again.

5Don't leave home without it!  May 02, 2010
By Loving G-ma
S-l-o-w-l-y returning to normal activities after hip replacement, I've found this rollator to be the most useful aid for getting around and going places, especially outside the home. It's easy to maneuver on outdoor surfaces and provides an important assist for balance and a quicker step when trying to get from one place to another.
One of the most important features for me is the sturdy, comfortable seat, which makes it possible for me to go places with the confidence that I won't have to worry about finding a place to sit. When going to our favorite local restaurants, I simply use the rollator "chair" rather than worry about looking for a place to park it out of the way.
The simple, secure brake system has been super-easy for a klutz like me to operate. The device is easily collapsible, but, to be honest, a bit challenging for in-and-out of the car handling. I have an SUV, so it's easy to store the rollator in the back, but even though I can do the lifting, it helps to have an assist from a stronger person.
I am very satisfied with this purchase, which was shipped quickly direct to my home, and set up with relative ease by my husband. It's definitely high on the recommended list for persons who have mobility and balance problems.

5Drive 8" wheels walker with basket  Oct 07, 2010
By MamaRose
This walker is wonderful. What an improvement over the standard type of walkers. It moves freely on pavement. My standard walker would get caught on bricks, cracks and pebbles; this one does not. Also the wheels swivels so it maneuvers easily. I like that the basket is not underneath the seat so I can fit a tall bag in it.
