Walker Feb 05, 2010
By A. Rivera I really like this walker. I had a walker that you had to lift up and sit down with every step and that was a lot of work for me. I saw someone at the gym with one of these and I said to myself I have to have one. I have arthritis in my hip and the "Walkabout" is better than I expected. This walker can turn on a dime, folds for easy storage, has a pouch to place items (unlike a basket where things can fall out) and it is very easy when there is a need to walk backwards. I am very please with this walker and glad I bought it.

Excellent Rollator - a Rolls Royce Jul 06, 2010
By mass.mom Purchased for my Dad and he could not be more pleased. It replaced a Nova purchased at Walgeens whose brakes failed and caused a fall. This is one sturdy rollator. Assembly was easy. He loves the 8" wheels which ride smoothly and turn very well. The adjustable handlebars can be made higher than most which "straightens" him up more and allows a more natural gait. The seat is markedly more comfortable. He loves the foldup feature of pulling a canvas loop; it couldn't be easier. The canvas bag is a vast improvement over the wire basket because it does not have to be removed when folding the rollator for the car. It will also keep items dry. It fits at an angle in his Avalon trunk because of the higher handlebars but this is no problem for him. This rollator is excellent, well thought out and well made. I highly recommend.

Quality product approved by rehab physical therapist Mar 27, 2010
By Elizabeth Evans We ordered this walker during a family medical crisis in which the stronger, more stable of our parents experienced a fall resulting in surgery and rehab. This left the other parent without the usual helping hand for getting around. There wasn't a lot of time to research and we weren't sure it would be used so didn't want to spend a lot of money. We choose this model because of the bigger wheels based on other reviews that noted that the typical wheel size was only really satisfactory for indoors.
This wheeled walker arrived within a week. It happened that the phyical and occupational therapists from the rehabilitation facility would be at the house when we arrived with the walker and they asked to see it to be sure it was satisfactory. I was sure they'd find some defect, however minor, but they gave this model their seal of approval. The only warnings they gave were that the handles be at the right level for the user (they adjusted them to the level of the cane being used) and that we be sure that the user knew to lock the wheels before trying to sit down--adjustments required for any wheeled walker.
We had to buy a second walker from the local medical supply store on the day the injured parent was released from rehab. It cost twice as much and has a fixed metal basket that has to be removed before folding whereas this model's heavy cloth (canvas/vinyl) basked folds easily right along with the walker. If I remember correctly, one simply pulls on a strap under the seat and the whole setup folds, with the strap becoming a handle.
One additional note: we had trouble locating the parts to attach the handle bars. They were neatly packaged and tucked into the storage bag under the seat. Beyond that momentary glitch, assembly was a snap.

Negative review Nov 01, 2010
By Francis Mirza This Drive medical proved to have wheels smaller than the advertised 8".
One of the front wheels fell off some three months after I received the rollator. my son found the parts in the grass and was able to reassemble the wheel.
A month later, 3 days ago, the second front wheel fell off as we were leaving our daughter's house, at night. I asked the seller if he would provide in warranty the replacement parts and I am still waiting for the seller's reply
