Highly Recommend! Jan 07, 2007
By popnull Scentless, light, and smooth. This 'oil' is actually a liquid wax ester that has served as a replacement for whale oil in cosmetics because of it's very close similarity to sebum (your own natural body oil). It can be used on skin or hair, and is a very powerful and ideal moisturizer that can be combined with as little as 2 or 1 drops to your soap and moisturizers. Can also be used with sugar to create a very gentle, skin-softening exfoliator.
I recommend this to anyone in search of a great moisturizer. My order came fast, they made sure to tape the cap of the bottle and placed it into a ziploc which was then placed into a box with biodegradable packing peanuts and my order-receipt. Would order from them again.

Wow! This stuff is great . . . Apr 11, 2006
By Zuberdeen I read about this product on the Makeup Alley website, and since it's so cheap I thought I'd give it a whirl. All I can say is, WOW! I am 39 with combination skin which has been breaking out lately (I think it's from using philosophy's "hope in a jar") so I needed something to calm my skin down. This may sound strange, because it's an oil, but this product did not cause me to break out! In fact, just the opposite happened. My skin literally drank it in (no oily residue) and in the morning, my face was soft and much clearer. I use it after cleansing at night (with purity made simple) and it works wonders. This is a terrific buy for anyone with easily aggravated skin. Try it, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Great Results. Aug 23, 2006
By ASAmom I have been fighting breakouts for decades. I have sensitive, acne prone, combo, thick skin. I would never dream of putting oil on my face regularly. I am very happy with the results. 2 drops after cleansing has been the best for my face. It doesn't clog my pores at all. It is supposed to be the closest oil match to our natural skin oil. It seems to clears out the existing acne. The oil works on my hair to get rid of fly aways and frizz. I use it on my daughter's hair and skin (and she has sensitive normal to dry skin). I use for baby massages also. It so is lightweight.

Is it really organic or is it fraud? Jan 25, 2010
By Frank The description made by (re-seller) DAB Nutrition (aka Direct Websites; Potential Dynamix LLC) says it is "organic". If you look at the front of the bottle on the picture it does not say "organic" but I trusted Amazon. We got the bottle and indeed it did not say "organic" on the front label. On the back bottom is an add-on sticker stating "organic" and other official looking numbers. Fishy or not?
My wife asks me to do further research since we wanted to use it for our newborn. Newborns have absorbent skins and soak up all chemicals/toxins in clothes and lotions so we try to get organic.
I contacted the manufacturer Desert Essence and gave them the manufacturing batch number (at the bottom of the bottle. They said Amazon is not an authorized re-seller and that it was NOT organic.
If you Google the re-seller you'll find more complaints.
This looks like fraud to me. I spoke with Amazon and they were very helpful. The product is being returned.
You've been warned about DAB Nutrition (aka Direct Websites; Potential Dynamix LLC)

Organic or 100% pure. There is a big difference but not less effective. May 08, 2010

Well I have two of the same branded jojoba oil.
One is organic and the other is 100% pure. They are slightly different.
The organic has a funny odor. It kind of smells like used cooking grease. A little unsettling but the smell is not strong and I use it only on my body and hair at night (then take a shower in the morning).
I use the 100% pure oil on my face to moisturize. There is no smell at all.
The oil in general is great. It doesn't have a greasy feel on my skin.
When I use it on my face right after I wash it, I put two drops all over my face. It feels soft and clean. I have acne prone skin and this oil doesn't make me break out. That is a big factor for me because throughout the day my face gets really greasy and gross and then I start to break out. The oil feels light on my face and makes my skin soft and healthy. Sometimes I accidentally put too much on and my face and becomes definitely shiny so I just take a blotting sheet and take off the extra shine but no harm done.
When I use the organic oil on my skin and hair, After I take a shower and my hair dries, it is soft and manageable. I really like it a lot. There is a difference in using it. When I do not use it and go about my daily routine, my hair feel drier.
I have been using this for about a month and I like it a lot.
I would probably go with the 100% oil because it is odorless
Note this exact same review is on the organic one too but I just wanted to place my review on both so that i can reach more people.
