Comfy, Difficult to install, no instructions, heavy, overpriced. Mar 09, 2009
By Donna D. These really help with the hand pain I have felt with the old hand grips. The padding is sufficient.
These are one-piece without Velcro fasteners and VERY DIFFICULT to install over the existing crutch handles. One has to "work them on" to the existing handles.
There were no instructions as to any easier method to use to install them or how to clean them.
The added weight of these grips and the shoulder pads significantly increase the weight and top-heaviness of the crutches. This makes them exceedingly awkward to "stand" when one is not using them (i.e. at the sink, etc.) They fall down a LOT due to this top-heaviness and they really hurt when they hit your foot!!!
While I thought the shoulder pads were worth the price, I think the hand grips are over-priced.
Would I buy them again? The answer is, only if I couldn't find a better alternative that was cheaper and easier to install.

Incorrect Size for Standard Crutches Apr 22, 2010
By L. Pursley CRPD32: Crutchmate(tm) Pads are sized for large handles. If you have standard crutches you want to buy CRPD31 Pads not 32. The CRPD32 circumference is too large and will cause these pads to spin on the handles. The only way to counter that spin is to squeeze the pads so hard that you effectively negate the benefits of the improved cushioning. Standard size crutches = CRPD31 not CRPD32.

Don't bother Jun 14, 2009

The crutch pads are good, the hand pads are of no real value. Better off with a pair of gloves for the longer stretches that you travel.

Pass this product by. Don't spend your money May 01, 2011
By Dan This product is difficult to install over existing crutch pad and once you do get them on the pad is so wide it extreamly difficult to hold onto your crutches, which for me was a concern of loosing your grip and falling. If you install the product without the original pad underneath, the pad is so loose it provides less support than the original pad. Returning this product will cost you return shipping so by the time you pay for that there is little value to returning the product. So don't bother.

Soft, but not perfect Aug 15, 2010
By Developer These grips are soft, but they reduced the grip I had with the "rubber" grips my crutches came with. I ended up putting the original grips back on my crutches.
