Ab Loops work fine for me Jun 07, 2005
By K. Jensen I've owned the Door Gym and Ab Loops for over 5 years and have never had a problem with them. At 170 lbs, I may not be putting them to the test that some users are, but I've found them to be secure and trouble-free.
I'm a real fan of this product and have recommended it to friends and family and continue to do so without hesitation. I think the two products combined, the Door Gym and Ab Loops, make for a great work out.

Alright, but rough fabric Jul 30, 2009
By Leanne I bought these to go along with my Creative Fitness pull-up bar since I had read that doing captain's-chair-type exercises were one of the best ways to build your abs. While these are sturdy and work well, the material/fabric is a rough nylon that has given me burns on my upper arms, even when I'm very careful not to swing while doing my abs exercises. I've been putting soft, folded towels in each loop so that the material doesn't rub my skin as much, and so far that seems to help a lot.
Bottom line: effective product, but could be made of better material. I'd give these 3 1/2 stars if I could.

Ab strap review Jan 16, 2009
By C. Harvey My son was thrilled with this purchase. Hesitant at first to try putting his whole weight into the straps, he now enjoys the workout the straps provide with his door gym.

Ab Loops of Trouble May 09, 2004
By C. Marvin I should have read the legal disclaimer before purchasing this product. They are absolutly right; this thing can, and probably will, hurt you. The Ab Loops use velcro to secure itself to the bar. I know they claim the loops will hold 300 pounds, but for how long and whose willing to risk it. I'm having mine modified to be more secure. Bottom line: you get what you pay for, and these were the cheapest ones on Amazon
