5Very nice!  Oct 05, 2007
By D. Hanson
I am more then pleased with this treadmill. I have a very small apartment, but the treadmill folds up so I was able to find a spot for it easily. It was easy to assemble took about 45 minutes, but i did have a 3 year old running around wanting to play with the packing material, so it might be faster for other people. I was worried that the belt might be jerky or hard to move, i shouldn't have been its very smooth. You should note that it is at a permanent incline, you can't take your hands off the handles cause you'll fly off, but the incline provides an excellent workout. I work out in the morning and this treadmill is so quiet i can watch TV without having to turn it up really loud which is great cause my little boy is sleeping in the other room. The price is great to, i highly recommend.

3Quiet, compact, yet electronic components don't work well.  Jan 07, 2008
By Julie R. Rowan
I was searching for a quiet treadmill I could use while my baby slept - this treamill is very quiet. I use it in the same room while my baby sleeps and it doesn't wake him up.

I also was looking for a treadmill that would fit in our apartment. Very compact, doesn't take up much space, perfect for small areas.

The treadmill is not for the faint of heart, it gives you an awesome workout. Not really good if you want to run though, you have to hold on to the handles or else you'll fly off.

The electronic component that keeps track of your mileage and time spent on the treadmill didn't work when I received the treadmill. The company sent me another one, yet that one only worked for one workout. I'm really bummed about that, but I can only last about 15 min. on the treadmill anyhow, so I just keep track with my watch.

Overall if you want a GOOD workout, a quiet machine that doesn't take up much space, but don't care about the electronic component - this is the treamill for you!!!!!

5Just What I Was Looking For!  Dec 04, 2010
By Charlotte Sometimes
I have never even heard of a manual treadmill until I actually did research on compact treadmills. I was reluctant to try one because how in the world would I ever be able to use it?! It just seemed so weird to me. No motor? Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. I actually purchased an electric one right before this and returned it because it was HUGE and very heavy when it claimed to be compact!
While this treadmill suits my needs, it definitely is not for everyone. Here are some pros and cons:

PROS:
1.Super lightweight, yet sturdy.
2.You can move it easily.
3.If you have limited space, this is perfect for you because it isn't very big at all. But it is a little larger than I expected.
4.It folds up securely with a knob that keeps it in place.
5.It gives you more of a workout than a regular treadmill because it is at a slight incline and you are powering the walking.
6.You work out for LESS time because you're working your muscles more efficiently.
7.For the price, the quality is excellent.
8.There are three incline positions that allow you to customize your workout. Actually, I found that the steepest incline was the easiest for me because on the lower settings, I had to walk leaning forward to get the belt to move.

CONS:
1.Not for running.
2.You have to keep both hands on the handlebars while walking. This keeps arm muscles fairly inactive.Mainly good for a lower body workout.
3.Assembly instructions were a little confusing. It might take two people to construct the treadmill.
4.Definitely NOT for serious athletes. This is more for casual walkers and those wishing to control their weight, keep in shape. If you're a diehard athlete, I would skip this machine.
5.Because of the slight incline, you aren't really emulating natural walking in a perfectly upright position. In order to get the belt to move, you sort of have to lean forward just a bit.
6.While I appreciate 3 incline positions, only 1 is useful to me. See #8 above.
7.The small computer doesn't work at all.

I am pretty short (5'2") so the length of the running belt works for me, but I can see how a much taller person would run into trouble. Basically, if you want an efficient workout(mainly working legs, calves, abs, hips, and butt--lower body only) and you don't mind not having all the whistles and bells, this might be something that could benefit you.

I hope this helped!

5very happy!!  Oct 31, 2007
By kiki B "Kiki B"
I am very happy with this product!! I am about 220 lbs and was concerned how well it would work. I like that it is on an incline, I have little time to work out- I have a 1 and 2 year old. Even if I can get on a few minutes at a time it get my heart pumping!!

5Excellent  Sep 13, 2009
By Scooba lover
When our large, more expensive treadmill finally gave out last summer, it was my intention to purchase another one just like it. However, with the economy being the way that it is, I just could not bring myself to spend a minimum of $700 or more to replace it. Upon reading the reviews for this treadmill, I decided to give it a try. As this is a manual treadmill, I did not have very high expectations. I have now had this treadmill for three months, and I am very, very happy with it. It works beautifully, and takes up so little space, compared to my former treadmill. I love the fact that I can move it around to wherever I wish to exercise. It feels as if my muscles are actually getting a better workout with this manual treadmill than what I had experienced with my former, motorized treadmill. I do sometimes (but not always) choose to place a small board under this treadmill in order to reduce the incline. I would highly recommend this treadmill. It is well-made, and for the price, you really cannot go wrong.
